    This one was a little over 9 pounds caught this past June during the day. Had another over 6 pounds the same week.

    I can show you easily 100 pictures of browns caught during the day. Most over 20”. Humphrey is a joke in my opinion. Videos done on “private” access farmed streams were more than lame. IMO. No offense to you.

    I get mine in earlier than normal but sans my usual sweat vest. Don’t forget electrolytes. Magnesium and potassium supplements help a lot.

    I just lost my the very first one I bought years ago. Paint was mostly gone and on its 4th set of hooks. My buddy told me retire it to the fireplace mantle. That thing had the juice I’m telling ya! I was on the hybrid kick after catching a few “decent” ones but I don’t live close enough to keep up the trips and cost. Stupid things are totally unpredictable. Nice fish!!!

    Sweet! Two things though. Firstly, if that’s a “decent” one I wanna see one you consider a “nice” one. Second, tell me it took you 15 trips and $1000.00 in gas money over two years to catch one Please tell me that😂

    My two troller batteries this time are pro guides. I just keep the water up and replace every two years per advice from @fishinwrench No problems and everything works as it should. I’ve had the ultrex since 2017. Works like a dream even with 4 units on Taney at tge wire.

    I bought a Walmart cranker because it was on sale. That thing has performed better than Duracell and pro guides. I’m not sold on lithium yet. Tempting though. Especially in a river jet.

    I invented the mop/guy fly back in the early 70’s at Bennett. Tennis shoe, shoe string whacked em. My brother told my purest fly fisher dad how I was catching them one after another on a shoe string. I don’t think pops ever got over it😂

    I’m headed there in a couple weeks for some top water smallie action on the Wisconsin river. I have a guide one day and he is going to give me places to wade fish too. I have access to a cabin up there so I want to scout it out for future trips and take my jet boat.
