I caught a small 15-16” one at Winfield dam years ago. We were walleye fishing in the winter. Jig and minnow.

That was my experience for years (decades probably) of flinging streamers. Tons of followers that just don't commit to eating it. Way to go though!!

Fishing shows in general have been getting worse but that one SUX! I'd rather listen to @fishinwrenchpontificate about white bass and fisheries biologists. Again...😂

I got back seated by one of my wife's friends husband at Tablerock in May one year. He absolutely tore them up on a garlic Chomper. He paralleled the bank for 2 days. I caught a few but he never allowed me to cast ahead of the boat even while he messed with his lure or ate a snack. I take guys fishing all the time and would never do that. I go out of my way to give them an angle and fresh water to fish.

I’m with @aarchdale@coresleep.com It can take Lots of time and reading structure and water to find big ones. Unless of course you just haphazardly stumble onto them. That’s where skill and persistence pay off. Once you find them they will bite eventually. But they can’t bite if you never have a bait in front of one.

DUDE!!! I forgot to add. I put leather gloves in my boat too. I use them to get anything with trebles out of fish.
