Just trying to help a brother out. If heβs new he might be using too heavy of line. 3 pound is a good tweener so you donβt need two setups. Sometimes you can get away with 4 pound other times you just wonβt get bit until you go to 2. Sooooo. 3 pound. Proof with photos.

Park at the hatchery and walk up towards the dam. Thereβs a sidewalk at the end of the parking lot. The cable across the river is the upper limit to fish. Plenty of space to fish.
I use a clip and switch out colors until I find one they want. Craw, reds, yellows, brown, shad. I won't give up on the crank bite until I've tried 3-4 colors. When they get on it it's a lot of fun.
