Went back again to day and had a great day catching. No real big ones just a bunch of fat healthy rainbows. Here’s a 17” and 18 for your viewing pleasure. Stocker in net for reference.

I really wanted to go bass fishing again but several things made me go for trout. Hard northwest wind blowing shad against the dam, same wind keeps my flat bottom jet off the rock and the tournament crowd this weekend. Also I figured this cold front would shut down the bass. So trout it is. Launched late at 7 and quit at 11 when traffic got going and beat me into submission.😐. Caught a bunch of nice rainbows and this roughly 24” brown. A tank!! I snapped a picture of a 14” rainbow for reference. I weighed him in the net and cleared all but a little of the silicone in the water. Probably several ounces.

I saw a little topwater activity but couldn’t get bit. Tried a buzzer and swimbait. I kept them handy and threw to several but nada. -

Some youth deal with 300 boats Saturday. It’s crazy how many tournaments they have. Good luck! -

Sitting in the landscaping in front of the condo. Beautiful! -
I wanted to fish yesterday but my trailer jack shot craps so I took it to Brandon Trailer Service. Bo fixed it right away and also repacked my hubs. I can’t recommend him enough. Great service! Today I only had a few hours and got on the water at 7:30. WT 64. I struggled for the first hour but got it going in the back of cuts with bushes or floating wood. Texas rigged big TRD did the damage. I know most people flip jigs but they get hung up so much I like worms better. I caught 10 in about an hour and a half and also lost that many. Flipping and pitching it up shallow. They got bigger as time went on. Biggest was 17”s. Had a blast. Nobody around.

It came through here too. Not much though. No where near the 1.5” they “predicted”. More like guess😆 -
What’s her handle on here?😀

No truer words have been posted. I chased the white run for years. Never hit it and quit. -
I was heading back to Taney this morning and hit something on the road out. Tire was flat in seconds. Took me about an hour to change it. The spare has been under my truck since 2012 and it looked it. 😆. I went back to the condo not sure if the spare was safe. Dumped my boat in here and ran to the back of the cove. I had been through my regular regular rotation of cranks, jerks, spinner bait, floating worm, jig and senko. Nada. Put on the dreaded Ned and immediately started catching. Caught a few spots, a couple small smallmouth and then hooked something better. Nearly 20” white bass! There was water coming in the creek and I guess they liked it. Quit counting after 10 or so. Spent almost 2 hours picking them off here and there. Going back and forth to let them rest. Had a great time! In reference to the title in case you didn’t know. I spent untold hundreds of dollars chasing the mythical white bass run for years. Never did experience it. In fact at Swan one year, we pulled up hopped out and got in line with everyone. Nada. Nobody catching any. Then boom! I caught a nice rainbow. Almost 19”. Nobody could believe it. So every year when people post about the white bass run I call it fake news.😂

Thx. Take care of yourselves. -
I finally got down here and got out at sunrise. I never caught anything big just nice size rainbows and these two bass. No browns. Not as good as I had hoped with the overcast skies. But still great to get out. I quit about 1.

I still don’t get why “pros” pay to be in tournament. They aren’t making a living at it. At least judging by the YouTube videos from “pros” outlining their budget and winnings. I assume The tournament organizers are the ones netting a profit??
