I think The current is 40 hp or less. At least in some areas. Meramec is wide open to you but the floaters are thick as thieves. You can camp anywhere on the Meramec you want or can find and there is plenty. I've only fished the upper Current for trout so maybe someone else can help you there. PM me for more info if you like.

Have you run one without the grates? How much better was it? Some guys sharpen them but the guy at Troutt said they messed around with and found that rounded edges were better.

I hit two different rivers this weekend. The first one was dropping hard but I thought it would level out by Saturday. It did not and it was murky to muddy still. Not a fish. Talked to 3 other boats. Not a fish although one guy said he caught a few but it was slow and his buddy who was up getting the truck said they didn't catch any....😁 Long drive for a boat ride. The river Sunday was stable but still pretty murky. Caught 7 or 8 spots and smallies all 12 - 14'. Nothing picture worthy. So there you have it. I think @Mitch f once mentioned that people only post reports when they catch them. Well, this one's for you buddy! SIO3
