    That was my experience also. I saw a guy sneaking trout into his “gear”bag. I just get tired of calling it out so I leave. I don’t think some know the regs because they don’t try to hide it but the guy clearly poaching them definitely knew the rules.

    I believe the water levels never really got right and It wasn’t real predictable if I recall. Did I tell you about the trout I caught in Beaver Creek during so-called the White bass run a few years ago? Never saw a white bass during that epic run. Stinking white bass, pfft

    That’s a lot clearer water than I had yesterday. Is there such a thing as zero visibility? Because if there is I had it yesterday.

    I had a guy come on our annual camping trip to the Norfork tailwater all while back. We always have a fish fry Friday night. I walk up to the campsite and see a stringer of small browns and I say " What idiot kept all the browns?" The guy starts to argue with me that they are rainbows. I laughed and said let's take them over to Gene's and let the guy at the dock decide. We walk up and the dock guy says "What idiot kept all the browns?" 😂

    I'd have to dig out my old calls. I believe they all Herter's. The steel shot laws drove me away from the game. Sold all my decoys and my reloader after that. I never went to a Halloween party until I was in my 30's because we were always going duck hunting.

    White bass only bite when I'm at home, driving to the run or driving back from the run. They never bite when I'm there. I have a real grudge against them and they owe me a lot of gas money.

    I've lost lots of big trout. Getting spooled with a 6X tippet and it's gonna happen a lot. I've watched many big trout just keep going knowing they can't be turned.

    We had ground hogs in a car shed at my mom's house and we never could get rid of them. Freak you out when you come home late and they almost bowl you over in the dark.

    I can't believe Locke is playing. Or the Oregon kid going back for another year. Locke already got them to the bowl game so the school gets the money regardless. What's in it for him? Torn ACL and losing millions.......If I was his father I would have a talk with him.

    I rolled a big brown at McCs and after a real short fight i pulled it right in. He had a half hitch of my leader around his snoot and couldn’t open his mouth. Easiest lunker I’ve ever gotten in.

    I think there were more big fish to be caught years ago than today. And a lot less fisherman. What we caught back in the 70’s and 80’s would blow your mind. Most people didn’t believe it and still don’t. You should have seen the fish in the outlets back then.

    I’ve caught more big fish because I knew where they were, more than the method. Those areas dictate the method.
