One of my customers invited me up to fish St Clair. We’re trying to work out the details. 2 weeks ago he was out for 3 hours and had 11 smallies over 20”s.
I supplied the steel casing for tge caissons and he’s doing the foundation work for the Soo locks expansion.
A lot of guys at work travel all the time. Luckily I don’t. It’s very rare NOT to have delayed or cancelled flights. Several of them went to Scotland and it took 2 and a half days to get home.
Got up and out the door at 4:30. Done by 10 when the first of the party crowd showed up. I got my boat out before the parade came into the ramp area. Thank goodness.
My thermometer battery was dead but the water was warm to the touch. Decent overcast morning kept them biting till the sun broke through. River was LOW and murky. Caught a few plus this one. Not quite 18”s. Fought like a champ. I think I’ll go again this week during the week.
I’ve never stopped fishing. The swells were so big off of Rhode Island that you couldn’t see anything but a wall of water around us. We killed the stripers!
In Maui the first mate said to drink a beer. I laughed while puking and said no I think I’m good. He insisted it works and they keep beer on board just for that. Sure enough it calmed my stomach right down.
Welcome. I like the PR area. The way the year is going it “should” be low water. It’s worth going up to the dam too. Scuds under a bobber. Or check at lilleys when you get there for the latest hot flies.
I have that option on my truck too😂. I refuse to pay to fix it. Check the pressure at least every change in seasons plus every long trip. Same as the trailer. All fine.
You should’ve seen the look on the hvac guys face when I wanted an old fashioned thermostat instead of the “new” ones with all these great features like WiFi capability so you can control it from your phone. 👎
