My experience is, the more tore up a fly gets the better it works sometimes. I believe it was Leonard Wright who wrote about old time European fly fishers who loaned out newly tied flies to be fished by someone else and then brought back to them to use.
GM and Toyota made novas in the California nummi plant. Workers came from laid off Fremont autoworkers. They were considered the worst workforce in the nation. When nummi closed, a bunch of them came to GM wentzville assembly center.
I always wonder why they focus on us here in the US to clean up the planet when China and India pump out huge amounts of pollution. Wouldn't we get more bang for our buck cleaning that up first? Gretta Thunberg should go to China and tell them how to save the planet. She can contemplate it while she sits in their work camps....
I've had the sous vide for 2 plus years and I'm finally doing a ribeye. Which I eat 3-4 times a week. But usually gas grilled on the sear station. It was supposed to rain so hard the weather man was building a dam ark on TV this morning. I got er in there at 128 and it's dry as a bone outside and 64 degrees. Weather man musta trained at the dam on the tailwaters..... 😄
I don't have a dog so.... It doesn't bother me but at the HOA they complained about running it over with the lawn mower. Fresh piles😂
I'm at the bottom of a hill, cul de sac and not sidewalk on my lawn. The drama it creates is pretty cool though. Better have that bag visible...
If you're in the burbs having a bag in view is the thing to do. Otherwise Karen's are libel to accost you for not picking up your waste. It's virtue signaling for dog shat😂
I use the hound dog with those little chains on them for jerks and cranks. Gets em 95% of the time. I haven't tried the lead ball deal but the Meramec is littered with my neds, jigs and tubes. For a couple bucks I figure it's worth a try.
I saw a video where a guy used a one ounce bell sinker and a snap ring. He attached the snap to the sinker and when he got a tube or Ned snagged he opened the snap and put it on his line. It slid down and dislodged his bait. I just bought them so I haven’t tried it yet. But the river eats a lot of Ned’s and tubes. He was demonstrating it on rip rap.
Which brings up something I see nearly everyday. Lots of people walk their dogs in the burbs here. I noticed a couple ways people do it. Talk on the phone and look around. Just look around or watch your dog drop a deuce.😂 So what do you do?
