Have you ever seen those Youtube videos titled "What's it really like" They compare the advertisement for a cruise ship and it's nearly empty with a few people around and plenty of space. Has anyone ever said anything to the rental companies? Seriously. That cold water and current is enough but add in power boats and it’s a disaster waiting to happen. I have nothing against them but I sure won’t recommend anybody do it. Especially on vacation.

I have a pond prowler and have for decades. If it’s public near STL metro it gets beat to death. Hard to go to a lake to fish when you know it’s not going to be a stellar day. Sure the odd nice fish or good days does happen but it’s very rare. Typically it’s going to be a bunch small bass. Or nothing.

This!! Thanks. @Ryan Miloshewski I use barbless hooks too. Sure I lose a lot of fish but most of the time when I get it into the net the hooks are already out. -
Honestly, the people that rent them have no regard for people's safety. I see little kids in them all the time. I don't think most people know what they are getting in to when they rent them. It's gonna be an ugly accident one day.
