Thatās a beauty! I need to start doing that again. I used to do it all the time when the kids were little and as they grew older and went off to school I just stopped.
Thx!!!
I think they have those categories at that club too. But this is a parking lot on the river drinking a beer after fishing. You know, bigger, faster.....longer
I have a friend that was a member of the Golden Gate Casting club. He was making claims about his abilities on a trip to The White one year. We were taking our gear down in the parking lot at Rim shoals and I finally called him out. I think he did 3 false casts and fired a whole fly line out like it was nothing. This was the old 110' or 120' lines not the 90's. In fact he did it over and over and again. I used his rod and could not get all of it out. Or my own. I bowed to his achievement.....
I always thought they are kind of interested in the bead and when they refuse it take the scud because it's right there. Or the bead attracts their attention and they see the scud and eat it.
You'd be surprised that two scuds don't work as well and a scud and the egg. Logical progression for me to think, well if one works why not two of the same fly they are biting. Not just scuds either....
