    Yep that’s what we did except the on e Brown. I thought if we pounded an area to get through all the smalls we would get to a big one. There was more of them than us.

    Between 2 boats and 4 guys we caught hundreds Thursday and friday but all small. One brown was close to 20 inches but we threw him back quickly because it took a while to unbutton him.

    I'm probably jinxing myself but I've had a Pond Prowler for years and never got it licensed. I could since I bought it new. I've never had anyone even give it a second look unless I was fishing where it was questionable that I should be there. Those places didn't specifically "say" I couldn't fish there because they probably thought nobody would. I just kick a little dirt and apologize while I load up and flee the scene.

    Frozen over as far as I could see form the Page Extension Bridge. The canal that runs south out of the lake into the large retention pond is literally packed solid with them in the summer. I ride my bike over there and it's a freak show of Asian carp. I still can't believe they let people in that water. I believe it was contaminated with Chlordane back in the 70's. A triathlete team asked my daughter to do the swim portion. I laughed and said look somewhere else. Apparently Asian Carp were well adapted to that lake.

    I'm not even sure if the lake has shad. I just always assumed they were here for a fish kill. Greese have left the lake and went to fields around here. It's all ducks on the water for the past week or so.

    But the place is loaded with waterfowl all year. Eagles only show up when it gets real cold and some years they don't show up at all.

    I've been doing the same thing. The thing I don't like about the Chinook style is the pockets bulge out and get in the way. At least that's what I've experienced with similar models.
