My daughter caught dozens of commons on a Barney Rod when she was little. Then she cast it out and set it down while she was goofing off. I wasn't fast enough to step on it when it was pulled into the water.

We always waited for at least two hard frosts. But mostly for us it is a winter affair. Preferably with snow and the ground.

Wow! I hope he's kidding. I don't think anyone has helped as many people as Wrench on this site or any other for that matter.

Last year the water was off for half days and we went down river to get better quality water. It still stunk.

We've been doing this trip for 30 years or better. Water seems to be getting worse over time.

Bummer. Already have our annual reservations for the end of October at Gene's.

I have a GFI outlet that when I plug my smoker into it would ruin my element. Literally broke it I guess do to overheating. There is no thermostat on the element. So this time I plugged a surge protector into it and then plugged smoked into that. It worked okay but I pulled the surge protector plug from the outlet is was smoking hot. I'm afraid my house is going to burn down. Anybody know what's up? I have not had good luck with electricity. Smoke between my legs in the Pond Prowler is not what you want to see when your a half mile from the truck and it's into the wind across the lake. SIO3
