I had this little guy swim up to my boat a couple years ago. I swear he had a look on his face that said “ hey, help a brother out”. It was early spring and pretty cold. I put him in my jacket to warm up then took him to shore and he ran off.

When I ran my paper routes it was always a Dr Pepper and a butterfinger. Soda came out of those old steel soda machines you pulled the bottle around the track to get them out. George at the market kept butterfingers in same machine for me. Ice cold butterfinger and Dr Pepper🔥. -

Oh I know. Having your truck and trailer sliding helplessly back down the ramp at Cooper Creek is something you never forget. My buddy is screaming at me to stop and look over at him and said “ I told you to wear a life vest”😂

Cold never used to bother me. We used to camp every January Quarry Park every year. And I tell you some of those trips were COLD! The older I get the less I tolerate it. But then I feel like I’m missing out and might regret not going. Frozen boat ramps freak me out though. 😂

Took me a year after my divorce. My lawyer, her lawyer, credit cards and court fees. That was back in the day of "the schedule". How much do you make, how many kids, pay this much. I lived in my car in a buddies basement garage for a while and stayed with friends or family on the weekends. Couch surfed I guess!😂 Finally got enough to share an apartment with a guy I worked with. Went many Thursday's and Fridays without food until the next paycheck came. It turned out to a good quit-smoking program. Easy to quit if you can't buy them....Good times!!😀

There was a bunch living under the 70 bridge near historic St. Charles. They were right in the heart of a new river front development. The city decided that area “needed” some structural help so they brought in some giant rip rap. Nobody could live on that stuff. I don’t know where they went after that. I see a few people trying to panhandle in the county near the grocery stores but they won’t be there long. Not sure what they do with them or where they go.
