  1. I think some will migrate as well. Also, just like it has always been. There be new goats in the future. They will be a few that you wouldn't even care to know there name now, that we will be talking about later sometime.
  2. BPS had TM on sale the other day, real cheap. You should have jump on it...😁
  3. Does anyone know if they live stream practice days. Can’t find anything that says Yes or no.
  4. Does anyone on here fish the Sparrowfoot area. I used to fish that area 35 plus years ago and always did quite well for nice Crappie. One of my goals this year is to get out of the Stockton rut and fish other bodies of water. Table Rock, Truman, and maybe some Bull Shoals. Anyway I was wondering if that was still a very good, to great crappie area? Mike
  5. Really enjoyed the input on this topic. There is really some good information and discussion on this. Randy brought up "roll off". That was one I wasn't sure about. Understand it a lot better now. moguy cleared up the channel swing somewhat. I used to dive some of the area lakes often enough. I have seen the slime that wrench is talking about. But usually it's just depends on where you are in the lake. Never have dove LOZ . But I could imagine, parts of it being in a somewhat flatter, farmland type environment. TR, Beaver , and Stockton don't seem quite as bad. Again, just seems to be where you are in the lake. of course, that's just my opinion. Feel free to have your own. lol, Good talk!
  6. Oh yes, the 1700's.. The time of fair maidens and wenches to do your bidding! lol And you could register a complaint with the government via battle axes and long bows!!! Good time to be alive!!!
  7. Thanks to you all for your input. Really some good info in there. Appreciate it. Mike
  8. I know I am not the only one who has thought this to himself. But I am going to step up and put it out there! lol Some of you sticks will use certain structure terms like channel swing and transition bank. Some of it is self explanatory. Some of it, not quite sure. So my question is. Is anyone familiar with a resource for explaining structure and fishing terms. I mean I get a few like, fish, water, boat, and lunch, but not all... TIA
  9. I had a buddy in the corp who would swallow a gold fish on a dare. But being the environmentalist that he was. He always released them the next morning... Life just isn't really that complicated.
  10. I am so ready. Got the funk bad this year.🤢 Snagged made a comment the other day about, not spending his way out of cabin fever. I totally get that.
  11. Went out for just for a couple of hours in the AM. I knew it wasn't going to be a perfect weather day. But it had been awhile and I was jonesing bad. Cloudy and cool. Temperature was around 50 and a much harder wind than foretasted, which would be par. Occasional sprinkles. Not a productive fishing day. Caught one 14 inch LM on a jerkbait and, and another short Spot on a RC55. Didn't get bit on the ned, But didn't fish it that hard. Fished the Cedar Ridge area. Water was slightly colored for Stockton and was clearer as you headed west and north. Surface temp varied in the 38 to 39 range.
  12. Ness you pretty much hit the nail on the head. A simple 22 bullet hits the right instrument at the right spot and chances are somebody is going to lose a train and maybe some deaths involved. It's been that way for decades. But it got real serious after 9-11. As far as police. The railroad has there own with federal jurisdiction and usually work with local law enforcement.
  13. My wife and I ride that a few times a year still. The funny part about that is. Back in the day, when it was a working Railroad. I used to ride that rail in my truck from Springfield to Bolivar and work on the crossing signals.
  14. I do, but that's for my other sins!!! I don't have a lying fund set up yet.
  15. It's like you read my play book!!! lol
  16. I always thought that those guys and now ladies that could land on a carrier were a special kind of cat. Given my fascination for aviation. I have always been in awe of there piloting skills and there metal.
  17. I wish you hadn't said that. I have been trying to avoid the reality of that. But everyone that I have met that has one. Just is absolutely thrilled with it. Right now I am trying to talk the misses into a boat upgrade. If that fails, the live scope could be a consultation prize. lol
  18. I might be wrong. But isn't that where Rick Clunn is from? Must be the water?
  19. TMI🤢🤮
  20. Yea, I love it as well. I can get to about any launch on the south side in 35 to 45 mins. It just wouldn't work for my wife. Just between me and you, she treats me pretty good (Except for an upgrade in bass boats.) Wah!!!. I'd like to keep her happy.
  21. Thanks Bill. That's why Stockton didn't even make the list. Not enough metro in the area for the wife. lol As far as prices. I am starting to get the picture of what your talking about. That being said. We don't have to live right on the lake and still it may not be out of the question. It's more my fantasy than hers. We both like that area, and think somewhere around the metro is still a very possibility. It's funny you mentioned medical. That's a point that my wife always brings up. She is not in denial as much as I am... Getting old isn't for sissies.
  22. I was reading an article just this week, talking about how tasty yellow perch were. It also said that in our region that northern Missouri was about as far south as you would see them in any abundance. Are they pretty common in the upper Bull Shoals?
  23. I was looking at a video yesterday. It was fishing right below the Truman dam. Can the same be done at Stockton dam?
  24. Blazing Saddles. Even today. It's still considered one best training films for the HR Dept. lol
