  1. It's worth the bushwhacking just for the beauty of the stream. The last fish. caught there was on a black foam beetle in the park downtown. It came up from the bottom about 4 feet deep to hit it and I saw it the whole way. It was incredible. About a 10 inch fish. So cool.
  2. Thanks Gavin.
  3. Glad it was mild for you all.
  4. Looks like a combo of a wooly worm, girdle bug, and/or pat's rubber legs. I like it. Did you guys say this was a Tyron invention on another thread? Here's the woollies. I ended up with olive, blank, brown and tan. No idea what size. Just some "panfish" hooks I had from Wal-Mart.
  5. I did tie a 5th that was about 2/3 black, 1/3 green body with 5 legs on top and 5 on the bottom. It kind of covered up the green, but will see. Thanks for the feedback guys.
  6. Yes, they are weighted on the curve. I thought they'd ride point up and be a little more weedless. So you think the legs should be how long? Length of the hook?
  7. Hey gang. I tied these bully bluegill spiders on a kahle hook just because I wanted to. They are weighted about thought they might be good so goggle eye or smallmouth in my neighborhood creek. Thoughts or suggestions?
  8. 14 years later.... Best thing I've read all day.
  9. Have you caught anything off it yet?
  10. We've all been there. I've had respectable jobs that I did not like and did not believe in, but kept my family safe, secure and with health insurance. I once teased a friend from HS who is an engineer for a company that works on AF spy planes about working for the Military Industrial complex. His reply was "we all work for the Military Industrial Complex. Some of us just belly-up to the bar." Interesting perspective.
  11. I would have gone Baconator, but whatever floats your boat. The lettuce and tomato make a burger structurally unsound. Glad you're home and I hope you make a full recovery soon.
  12. How many fish did you see behind it? Looks awesome
  13. No punch line. Just wondered if I'd end up with jail time. I didn't risk it. We'll go this weekend instead.
  14. Trying to plan a trip before the weekend turns cold. The app schedules no generation from 1-5 tomorrow. The web site (https://www.swpa.gov/gen/thu.htm) says zero starting at 11. Who should I believe?
  15. Anyone know what happens if one were to go to RR on a Thursday during C&R season?
  16. I've got AdBlockPlus (it's free) and haven't seen an ad in years. I do 98% of my actual internet surfing on my laptop.
  17. That's awful. So sorry you're having to do that. Maybe I misread. I thought you said the dog DID have its shots. But you need to go through that anyway?
  18. This is a great article. I have a co-worker who just got a beginner combo and I'll be forwarding this to him. The question I can never remember is the maximum flow to safely wade? I've attached the chart from the app. Is it safe to wade with any of these flows?
  19. @Dutch I really love that your are dead-set on catching fish a certain way and then switch kill it w/ the Ned or Shaky Head every time. I know I always end up with my comfort baits, but I would take your bags 8 days a week. Always impressed with your results.
  20. I had a mild case about 15 years ago and I still have neuropathy, too. If I get run or really stressed, my right shoulder blade will either itch, burn, or tingle like it's asleep. Sorry to hear you had a bad case. That stuff is nasty.
  21. Saban is 25-1 against former assistants... so, yeah.
  22. I agree 1000%. I know a 16-yr-old kid who got it and "recovered" this fall ,but can't play b-ball for his HS this year because he's got an awful case of Myocarditis and a leaky valve caused by COVID. He last 90 seconds on the treadmill at the cardiologist before quitting and collapsing. Hopefully with time he'll recover and live a normal life, but knows? There have been college and pro athletes in the same boat. I'd take 15 jabs for $33 mil if anyone is offering!
  23. Other than his agent, I'm not sure. I've always thought he was overrated and a cancer for whatever team he was on, but I know there aren't many NBA fans/followers here. There are a lot of people making vax-related sacrifices that don't make sense to me, but whatever. At this point, it is what it is for those who choose no. Nature always wins.
  24. Kyrie Irving, Brooklyn Nets NBA player, chose to sit out instead of vaxing and is giving up $33.33 million.
  25. Tim's got some good stuff on his Instagram this week. My daughter and I always go between Xmas and New Years.
