SR 10-6.540 Walleye and Sauger

PURPOSE: This rule establishes seasons,
methods and limits for taking walleye and
sau
(1) Daily Limit: Four (4) in the aggregate,
except on the Mississippi River, the daily and
possession limit is eight (8).
(2) Methods: Pole and line, trotline, throw-
line, limb line, bank line or jug line.
(3) Seasons: Throughout the year, except that
from February 20 through April 14 walleye
and sauger may be taken and possessed only
between one-half (1/2) hour before sunrise to
one-half (1/2) hour after sunset in the Swan
Creek Arm of Bull Shoals Lake above High-
way 160 and in the unimpounded portions of
all streams except the Mississippi and Mis-
souri rivers. Walleye and sauger may not be
possessed on waters or banks thereof during
closed seasons or closed hours.
(4) Length Limits: All walleye and sauger

must be returned to the water unharmed
immediately after being caught, except:
(A) All walleye and sauger less than eigh-
teen inches (18") in total length must be
returned to the water unharmed immediately
after being caught from Bull Shoals Lake and
its tributaries, Current River and its tribu-
taries, Eleven Point River and its tributaries,
Long Branch Lake, Norfork Lake and its
tributaries, Table Rock Lake and Wappapello
Lake and its tributaries including the St.
Francis River and its tributaries above Wap-
papello Dam.
(B) On the Mississippi River, there is no
length limit on walleye and sauger
