Techno - thanks for the report even though you were fighting the traffic it sounds like you figured them out - I have not had much trouble with gar but then again my catch rate on bass is at it's normal level....poor. I can tell you that no matter the lake(s) I have been to there are some very selfish folks out....or maybe just not aware?? And the day of the week doesn't matter... I have to remember to use the term "had a dickens of a time" next time I get frustrated!! 😉 C4F

What a great report! Thanks for the details and pictures. That is the one thing that makes this a great forum, the sharing of information and the opportunity to live vicariously through each angler for those of us that cant get down there. And I figure anytime a person or couple can spend a couple of weeks on the Rock they are living life right! Thanks for sharing! C4F

I tried something different instead of keeping my left eye closed when I picked I actually read some of the "analysis" as to why one guy would do better than the other guy...sounded reasonable. So that is who I picked...I kinda felt like I was looking over at someone else's paper during a test! C4F

Couldn't ask for a better day to have this event! I think that we all caught 'em and as noted sometimes 'em is a very large trout!....As is the case when fishing some just caught bigger ones than others....tis life 🙃 Hats off to Quill and M&M - you guys did a great job in getting this organized. Pat did a great job on the dogs after he was voluntold to cook... while the popper dip....let's just say that you could live on that alone....mmmmm! RPS brought what he calls chili "sauce" I had never heard that before....and I forgot who brought the fried ravioli, that was addicting! As they say if you went away hungry that was your own fault. And as always Phil took care of the trophy and salmon umhummmm. There were numerous fish stories told, with most of them true 😉but the best part was the fellowship with folks far and wide...we had folks from St Louis, Oklahoma, Omaha and just about everywhere in between. We read posts from these guys and it is good to see a face with the handle. Thanks to everyone and hope to see some of you in April for the Big Bass that I have donated my $$$ to. C4F

Give the pages on this forum a good read - you will find a ton of information especially when you know where you are going to be. Right now the guys are catching a few walleye, but the main game here is Bass....depending on what the water level turns out to be by that time wiggle warts, swim baits and of course the A-Rig if you want to throw that. Bill Babler here on the forum is a great guide along with Buster Loving, I have fished with both and have never been disappointed. That would be a good way to get started if you are going to be here for a week...it makes things so much easier. Best of luck and enjoy! C4F

I can tell you that I was doing some hard figuring how I could make it south, fish some and make it back in time monday for work...almost pulled the trigger then my wife brought common sense to my thinking. I called her a fun hater 😉 and she did not disagree. On the bright side since it has been warming up I think we actually lost an inch of ice....there is hope. C4F

Well I can't believe it! 2 of my 5 guys made it all the way to day 4. and all made it to day 3. There is a dogs butt getting some partial sunshine somewhere tonight! Darn glad that I picked Christie and Shryock, it is amazing how many points you get when that happens 😀 Next tourney at Pickwick and the guys on BASS were saying that the total 4 day bags could be in the 100lb range Just wow! Anglers in Action was today on the Rock The Good News: The Table Rock Lake tournament is a GO for Saturday, Feb. 27th, going out of the Port of Kimberling Resort at 7am. Maybe they were practicing? And apparently someone else is so they can grab that coveted wooded plaque come the 20th of March! I will have to read the official entry rules and see if there are any pre fishing penalties 😎 C4F

Recorded minus 28 on my way to work the other morning....yes that is in Nebraska but it was the coldest on record. For a moment I thought that Nebraska had won a football game and hell froze over! C4F
