  1. Meanwhile at snagged's house.
  2. I think the only fart in the brain is in the one that can't tell the difference.
  3. Well like my daughters tell me, fashionable doesn’t mean comfortable.
  4. You can get there from the lake but there are plenty of obstacles in the way. If you do try it from the lake the inside edge of the first big left turn up the river from Bolivar landing might have some fish hanging around.
  5. I tied some and they worked, but I just used a heavy cone head.
  6. I remember that.

Those are always the best places. Everybody gets excited about In-N-Out, Shake Shack, 5 Guys. Then you have the gourmet burger places that try their best to ruin a burger. But those little dives just make good juicy burgers.
  8. Just keep an eye on your time and distance and you should be fine. You are going to pass Shelvin about 5 miles into it, Jamesville about 9 miles in. Adjust your speed from there.
  9. That's freaking scary. Early on when I had more boat than I needed I got tossed on the floor and the kill switch shut everything down. If i hadn't been using it I'm sure it would not have been good. Not only was that guy dumb for not using one he actually left the wheel to get his phone while the boat was under power. That kind of disregard for your own life is baffling.
  10. Yep the Boaz guage would be the closest. I'm sure you could do it in whatever amount of time you wanted but if you keep moving along it's probably closer to 6 hours but it really just depends on how you float. I know it would take me all day but I have a tendency to dick around all day. Even with fast flows. Unless it's chocolate milk and then I'm done probably in 3 or 4.

There used to be one in Orange Beach I ate at a few times. They didn't make it.
  12. Well it's chugging along at around 668 cfs right now in that area which is at the top of my level for fishing this river. I think you will have some opportunities to toss a ned but I always do better with a moving bait at these levels.
  13. Yep it's going to be a long float. I always do good on the James with a square bill when the water is moving. I can't really think of any place that's going to give you trouble. Hopefully we don't get too much rain overnight and you have some decent water.

As a burger connoisseur they don't even make the list.
  15. Bragger. I can't even tell if it's light or dark outside from where I am. But nobody bothers me and I can listen to my tunes as loud as I want.
  16. That's the elusive 3 headed heron that makes those.
  17. Same, except one whole wall of my office is a window. It gives me an amazing view of a warehouse.
  18. Possible yes, of course. Easy? Oh hell no.
  19. We won't hold that against ya.
  20. You would also have the option of having the angler bring the fish to the official scales. If it's big enough to possibly take the lead then it would need to be brought to the scales. For verification. So the spectators can see it. So everybody can see it. And you still get your grip and grin chest thumping moment. Not that I'm against that either because that makes some great memories and publicity.
  21. I know it's been done before just not sure how they handled Hico. Pretty sure they said they left a vehicle there but they are from that area and might have access we don't. It's on the list though. Buddy went down to Charity last summer to see if we had enough water to float and found a family living down there.
  22. We sure haven't got very far away from just letting them slide down the tube next to the marina.
  23. You forgot #4 - The cash to get them to come.
  24. I don’t care about the ethics of it or where it ends up. I was more concerned about the other fish that have to live with that beast.
