  1. Looks like he was throwing a big worm on a wobble head also.....
  2. And people wonder why rods break???????
  3. I looked at his "on the water pics" from Day 2. He looked to be throwing a 5 or 6XD. Don't believe it was the 10. He picked up a 7lb'er on it and upon landing the fish it slammed a treble into the palm of his hand. He just continued on like no big deal and there are following pics of him culling out fish with it stuck in his hand and then a press/staff boat coming to his aid to remove the treble. Went and found the pics:
  4. Good for KVD. Was wondering if he was going to pull a Tiger Woods and kind of dwindle down into relative obscurity and become a name only with declining skills/success. Hopefully KVD doesn't get a 9 iron through his rear windshield though.
  5. Donna, not sure the brand that the OP has pictured but a similar (if not the same) is made by Hawg Trough. Lots of the 'Yakers use them for the picture verification weigh in system that they have all seemingly adopted as the standard these days. They have them at Cabela's and I'm sure locally as well. Would think they have them at The Extreme Outdoors (maybe Richie can verify) as they seem to be hip to the kayak crews needs. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Hawg-Trough-Measuring-Board/738039.uts?productVariantId=1189733&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=00004926&rid=20&gclid=CI-_pLe83cwCFQERaQodOe4C7Q&gclsrc=aw.ds
  6. Get out your pocketbook if you are wanting to get some of the original Vixens. Guys sell them on BBC from time to time in the for sale section might try there. Typically they go for around 60-80 bucks a pop. RI did a "new run" of original Vixens last year and those are more widely available and cheaper than the TRUE originals. Not sure if they are the same or not.....you know how fishermen are about new run vs originals....wiggle wart?????
  7. 20-25 would be my guess. Perfect eater size flat head there that is worth the effort to clean. Won't find better meat swimming in TR other than walters.
  8. How did you get a depiction of my life the last 4 years?
  9. When I see someone trailering a bass rig on Friday afternoon a little piece of me dies inside.
  10. If you look at that article it was published in 2013. Should be some data since the stocking happened 3 years ago.
  11. Those are all dead on and hilarious.
  12. I read the first page or two last week and the last 2 pages just now. Not sure what was said in between but it has resulted in this: Good grief. Winter is over! Someone get mjk86 a BURGER!
  13. We all know you are a one trick/creek pony. I am confident that there will be no Ned raping and pillaging happening here like what goes on in Schooner. My feesh in the dam area are safe from Reevghis Khan and his brutal scorched flats tactics onslaught.
  14. Nice report and glad you guys enjoyed yourselves. I recognize 4 of those spots and next year stay off 'em.
  15. Nice report Alex. Maybe if the "nasty water" lasts a week or longer it will provide some cover for the spawning fish and make the task for bed snatchers a little more difficult.
  16. Take a hint Dave. He wants to go home with you to Kansas. Reconfigure your hoard of tackle and make some space for a 100 gallon tank for your new friend. You already think like a fish so communication should come naturally. Probably have him rolling over and playing fetch with a hookless ned before you know it.
  17. Soooooooo.... Ned...Ned...Ned...Ned...Fish Doctor?
  18. If stocking didn't work Bill Dance wouldn't have had a TV show for the last 48 years. Nuff said.
  19. Deer were probably looking for zebra mussels.
  20. This isn't true and it can, and is, done on Northern lakes. You can have a season for anything that is able to be harvested just like deer, turkey, etc. I wouldn't mind a restricted season on Table Rock, say mid April til mid/late May where no bass are to be harvested. Sure you can fish for them but they should be released immediately. Before that time period and after that time period would be just as it is now in the current MDC regulations. Why would you not be able to do it for a specific species? Would be simple to do so.
  21. That's a good thing. This is the first year I've ever noticed it and I am glad they are addressing it. At least they are trying to make boaters aware to help prevent the spread the invasive mussels from the chain of lakes in the White River, etc.
  22. It works in a pinch. I wouldn't recommend it as I believe whatever is in that glue gets into your bloodstream or something. I used a somewhat liberal amount to patch up a split on my finger when golfing and my fingers in my hands tingled for 2 days. Not sure if it was from the glue or what but yeah prolly not a good idea.
  23. New skin. Pfff....sissy types. I just use the same Locktite Gel Glue I use on my Neds and glue the split back together.
