  1. I concur with you Ness. The Petersens are really good. I also enjoy the covers done buy Foxes and Fossils. Home Free is an amazing country acapella group. Their beat boxer is second to none. Check out their version of Man of Constant Sorrow.
  2. Looks to be a nice setup.
  3. Looks great Gavin. Color me jealous. You around Truman lake area?
  4. If Truman can't take a rise then it all goes to LOZ
  5. Heard they pulled Truman down for some sort of repair work. Drawing LOZ to create space if we get rain?
  6. They were DQ'd, but I never saw where they were presented the $$$$$. Attempted fraud? Attempted theft? Wanton waste on the walleye fillets? Curious as to what the charges will be. Have any of their sponsors reacted to this?
  7. Not sure how the law works in Ohio. Several years ago a guy was planting fish in a live basket on Blue Springs lake and retrieving them during the tourney. An angler had found the live basket and notified the tourney organizers who brought n the MDC and the police. I believe MDC went and took pictures of the fish after clipping portions of a fin on each. The organizer was instructed to conduct the weigh-in as normal. If the the cheater weighed the fish in and placed in the money they were instructed to pay him. As it turned out the perp weighed in the marked fish and won 1st and big. After they paid him the authorities stepped in and arrested him. Apparently if he had not gotten paid there wouldn't have been theft/fraud. Wonder if the charges on the Ohio cheaters would have been more severe had they been paid?
  8. I guess money and fame over ride values and morals. Greed over pride. Why compete if you have to cheat to win? Wonder how many derbies they have won by cheating. Put them in jail and ban them from fishing/hunting for life.
  9. Was there an "Always Talking" dwarf?

    HBD Phil!

Happy Birthday Phil!!! I have the same born on date as you.
  11. Don't do your hip shake exercise in front of the dog.
  12. MDS is an awesome organization. They are having a fundraising sporting clays shoot at Polecat Creek in Harrisonville this Saturday. C'mon out.
  13. Just have Sugarbritches kick you in the nads 3 times and you'll forget the other pain.
  14. I typically throw a 1/16 ounce jig and have no problem casting it a long way with PowerPro 4/15. Newer Quantum reel have no problem with the braid. Some older abu garcia and shimano reels I have just don't like braid. Continually had issue with knots, loops, etc. Usin braid, many times I have fished for days with the same jig head till the hook finally breaks.
  15. Straighten the hooks out with 4/15 braid.
  16. Why no electric?
  17. Gavin you are correct. A frat brother at MU had an awesome teal hunt till he got pinched for hunting in a County park.
  18. Used a Signa Keel from the Marlynn Lure Company ahead of our rooster tails on spinning tackle when trolling. Seemed to eliminate the line twist. The instructions that came with the keels says, "Signa Keel - A permanent attachment for underwater spinning lures. Attach split ring on keel to front of lure. Snap line into front hole in keel. No swivel necessary."
  19. Keep your badminton racket handy Wrench.
  20. Hunt the dredge piles from Creve Coeur lake. The freshly dredges area will be good for teal. The leveed off area where they have removed the dried out dredgings is awesome for dove. At least they were back in the late 70s.😁
  21. We all know better, yet we all still use the rod tip to dislodge baits.
  22. So is it a hybrid? If so, is it not the world record hybrid gar?
  23. Lines every morning at Starbucks. Guess it is a status symbol cause the coffee is not good. Or maybe just folks feeding their caffeine addiction. Wouldn't know there is a recession gong on with the lines at restaurants and Starbucks. Grocery prices have gone up and packaging has gotten smaller. Bet when things level out the smaller packages remain.
