Welp, this one is starting out as a disaster for me. I had Kupall in my lineup, but took him out, he is at #5. Seriously considered Robertson, he is #3, but not in my lineup. I like that we pre-pay for this, as at this point I have nothing to lose except pride and dignity.
I don't know if they sell the annual passes at the park entrances anymore. Last I checked you could call them to get one, Banson number is Phone: (501) 340-1950.
I always got mine at the Rodgers COE office. I have now qualified for the lifetime pass, so don't have to make the annual trek to the office. Anyway, give them a call because they change things it seems every year.
I get a translate to English pop up. It actually does translate it. If you want a read from the other side of the hill, there is plenty of it. I read a bit, got tired of it.
Someone posted this on BBC. Never knew that a mussel could imitate a fish to get bass close enough so that the mussel could release it's larvae which attach to the gills of the bass. Did a range research of Lampsilis Cardium, northern Arkansas and the entire state of MO are inhabited by that mussel. Maybe ya'll knew about this, but first I'd heard of it.

Today was the proverbial quantity over quality day for me. I caught over 40 bass, but only 5 keepers and except for a 16" largemouth, they were just over the 15" mark and of the spotted variety. Bunch of bank running males. Water temp was 55 off the bank, probably a little warmer shallow. Quite a few of them were just off the edge of the buck brush.
1/16 oz Ned head with 1/2 Zinker got me my first two dozen, then the wind picked up and caught some on a 1/8 oz head and a few on a 2.8 Keitech. Didn't fish any bluffs or steep stuff.
Bunch of rigs in the Big M lot when I left, might be the most I have seen parked there on a weekday.
One of the ones that came to play.
I guess what is making me wonder, is they say they are doing this for "hydropower unit outages". If they are running water to get it out of here, then why not just state that?
It's not making me mad, I'm glad to see it.
I'll play a devil's advocate - You've got guys coming from out of state to fish these deals. They are competing against some of the best local tournament fishermen that practically live on this lake. Hard to blame people for hiring a guide or calling around for advice.
Make sure you pick these up before your next trip. Already sold out at Tackle Warehouse.

I was thinking about this while walking the dog this morning. I have met a bunch of folks here. Every year at the OA One Bass, or at Jigfest it is like a reunion. What is funny is that I have met several members and readers that don't post at the Big M ramp or out on the water. They'll ask me, "Are you Quillback?"
Caught a few of these dudes yesterday here in Bella Vista. 2.8 Keitch on a 3/16 oz head. Got me thinking the small swimbaits might work for the elusive snakehead.
