  1. I think I remember it being an extended auto warranty scam, they'd gladly sell you the coverage, but would not pay out for claims.
  2. I watched a show about that Fidelis scam, I think it was an episode of American Greed.
  3. The Holy Grail of the species quest!
  4. You guys are getting some nice fish!
  5. The handles are a great idea.
  6. For sure, really nice fish.
  7. Fry them in bacon grease.
  8. Mama-mia! That is a great bag!

  10. M&M has applied for the permits, I assume we will get them, but if not we may have to make some changes. Tournament date - Saturday October 16. Start at 0700 (launch anywhere), weigh in at 2 PM Aunts Creek COE park pavilion. We'll have 2 plaques, one for the heaviest 3 bass bag and one for the Biggest Bass. Entry fee $20 per person, all proceeds to go to the Cassville high school fishing team. It is not a team event, individual weights, but you can fish with other participants in the same boat. No dead fish penalty, but please do your best to keep them alive. No A-rigs, bait or trolling. We'll have food at the pavilion, I'll start a who is bringing what thread, you don't have to bring food or drinks, but if you do, we appreciate it. You don't have to fish for bass, you can still come out and meet people at the get together. Please respond to this thread if you plan on attending, I'll keep a list, it's mainly so we can gauge how much food to bring.
  11. Love frog legs. Went once when I was a kid with my grandpa and one of his buddies. They sculled a jon boat down SE MO ditches. Carbide head lamps and gigs, old school, but they filled a cooler with frogs.
  12. Barely keepers. Being mostly a fun fisherman, I'm fine with catching 13 and 14 inchers too. Those little sub 10 inch fish are the ones I don't like, especially if they are on a treble hook lure. Speaking of treble hooks, I have been switching out my top water hooks to Gamakatsu Aaron Martens nano deals. They are some SHARP hooks.
  13. Congrats!
  14. They were coming up chasing shad. They were on a gravel point that you have fished a time or two. Once that sun came up they pretty much stopped.
  15. What is the reason they are giving you for not transferring the funds? Don't know who BKD is, but as far as Schwab you should be able to go to the Schwab customer service people and have them transfer the funds to your Schwab account. They can take on the folks at that bank.
  16. Launched early and from 6 AM to 7 AM the fishing was great, landed a dozen bass, then after that I fished until 10 AM and I landed one more bass. They were biting a NuTech jig and a pencil popper early. Once the orange ball of a sun popped over the horizon it was pretty much done for me. Gravel point was where they were, anywhere from 5 to 20 FOW. Surface temp 83.
  17. They'll have some demos on Norfork tomorrow from 8 AM to 2 PM. Panther Bay. EIA 2022 - Bass Cat Boats - Feel the Rush
  18. I'm by no means a largemouth finder on Beaver, but in general what you say is true, the largemouth fishing tends to be better in the upper end, with smallmouth being better as you get closer to the dam end. If I was launching of out Starkey, I'd fish North Clifty, Big Clifty, Rambo Creek, and Van Hollow.
  19. Congrats to the winners, and thanks Brett for putting it together!
  20. It has been, it has slowed down for me lately, we're entering the time of year that I start yearning for November. Love that cold water.
  21. Well shoot, if we're going to do some walleye talking, here's one I caught on some gravel last week. 3.3 Keitech. Only one I caught that day.
  22. Way to go Dan!
