No advice from me, but looking forward to hearing how your latest adventure goes.
  2. Congrats! Not doing tomatoes this year, but have some summer squash that is close.
  3. AGFC urges outdoor enthusiasts and anglers to be cautious when floating Crooked Creek in Marion County. Due to the devastating tornados that swept across the northern part of the state on Memorial Day weekend, a large number of trees and other storm debris have made their way into the stream. Downed trees in the river can act like “strainers” and be potential hazards for floaters. The most impacted section of Crooked Creek is from Pyatt to the Mark Oliver Access. Please always practice safe canoeing and kayaking by wearing a life jacket and letting others know where you are going to be and when you will be off the water. Twitter Facebook Instagram Fishbrain
  4. Yeah I should get it done (sigh). All those birds I shot and shot at are getting their revenge.

    What's Cooking?

Always like Hollandaise sauce over baked salmon.
  6. I used to fish with someone that was hard of hearing on the Bella Vista lakes. We'd be out there at 0600, there's houses all over the lake, quiet as can be, and He'd yell at me when he was talking. "WHAT ARE YOU USING!" "I JUST GOT A BITE!". "DID YOU WATCH THE GAME LAST NIGHT!". The hard of hearing don't realize that the normal hearing folks can hear OK. My hearing is going downhill, just a matter of time before I need aids.
  7. Looks very tasty!
  8. I'm going to guess on the translation and go for: "Come to God's House." That is one heckuva barn. Thanks for posting!
  9. Your editor eye is still functioning.
  10. Yep way too much. I'm sure they'll sell out and won't miss me. I'd get no satisfaction watching it.
  11. Nope, I was already alive when that show was running. I know that I watched it, but can't remember any of the episodes.
  12. Did a search on Stones coming to Missouri.
  13. Speaking of old, the Stones are coming to JM's new outdoor stadium. The Rolling Stones coming to the Missouri Ozarks this summer (fox2now.com)
  14. That's pretty neat. Have a great time!
  15. I saw a TV deal on that steamboat. It was pretty neat. The river sure had moved aways.
  16. Good to hear the rain came. Very foggy here this AM,
  17. Welcome to OA! Those are some great fish, congrats!
  18. That's interesting. If you want some for bait, fire up the table saw!
  19. You had a great hot streak!
  20. There will be a free presentation at the Bella Vista Historical Museum on Thursday June 6 starting at 7 PM. More than 300 steamboats sank in the MO and the presenters (Jim and Vicki Erwin) will discuss the natural, technological and military causes of disasters that plagued MO river steamboats before, during and after the Civil War. I realize it would be too far for many of you to drive, but the Erwin's have also written several books, if you are interested but don't want to make the trek. Steamboat Disasters on the Lower Missouri Notorious Missouri; 200 Years of Historic Crimes History Lover's Guide to St. Louis The books are all available on Amazon.
  21. Nice flies. I could see if there is a bunch of them falling in the water the carp would go after them. It would be a great way to catch carp on the fly.
  22. Just some light rain this morning, but possibly more on the way. Nice and cool, was a good morning to walk the pooch.
  23. I'd like to place an order for one that weighs about 10 lbs.
  24. Time to get outside and start your rain dance, there's a big front on the way that stretches from Sioux City south to Shreveport. If it misses you, you need to go to dance class and work on your moves.
  25. The fishing was a little off today compared to a couple of days ago. Not as much top water activity, and the fish were a little harder to find. Bite died around 0900 too. Caught a little over 20 bass, several on top, one on a c-rig and the rest on 3.3 Keitechs. Heard the cicadas for the first time on TR for me, they were in the woods on the other side of the lake from Big M. WT 77
