  1. Yes sir, a little over 3 inches here. More on the way.
  2. Weather forum - Good idea!
  3. Netboy gave me this website: 24 Hour Rainfall Totals By Zip Code | RainDrop
  4. Thanks, that's a good idea.
  5. People now saying there was no fog.
  6. Man, I like gills better as far as eating than crappie.
  7. Hope it works out for you. I am clueless about stem cell therapy. Is it in lieu of a replacement?
  8. Yeah they are out there. I've seen some pretty young drivers of wake boats and such too.
  9. Wow some tanks! Where's Pete? Maybe he's on the way there? 😀 @snagged in outlet 3
  10. Same place where you get the big gills?
  11. Have not, just saw it yesterday in the paper.
  12. If anyone has any marinades for baked fish of any kind, please list. I need to eat more baked fish.
  13. Planted asparagus last spring for the first time and there's a few stalks coming up. One of them is probably 4 feet high now and has turned into a sort of ferny looking deal. Going to throw out a few tomato plants today, maybe plant some cukes too.
  14. Last year Dutch and I were not too far from Cape Fair in dense fog, we didn't go far from the launch because of the fog. There was a tourney going on that day and If I remember correctly, it was one of the lower level MLF deals. We had maybe half a dozen boats go by on plane in fog so thick we could not see them. If you know the James channel by Cape Fair it isn't that wide and if you can't see a boat in the middle of the channel, then it is pretty foggy. I'm guessing that day it was clear at the launch so they let those boys go. Still not an excuse to run on plane if you hit fog.
  15. From the Weekly Vista: 1/2 cup mayo 2 tablespoons melted butter 1/3 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese One tablespoon lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay (adjustable according to taste) Spread it on the fillets and bake. Top with bread crumbs.

From the outdoors section of the Weekly Vista: 2 Tablespoons olive oil 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup soy sauce dash of lemon or lime I'm going to try it, I'm in diet mode, would not hurt to eat some baked fish. And it's easy which I like. '
  17. Article does not mention it was dense fog, bass boat running in fog collided with a striper guide boat that was stopped. I believe that the 3 killed were all in the striper boat (center console). We get plenty of fog on Table Rock, be careful. 3 dead in boat crash at Alabama fishing tournament
  18. I looked around a week ago on some bans the bass spawn on every year and did not see any. Did not see any on Beaver yesterday, but did not look to hard.
  19. For me, yes, it is a long boat ride from where I launch. I have fished the North Clifty branch a few times and have found some good fishing. Stripers like that area in May and June and you can find them on top and have top water fun.
  20. My buddy John found some whites this weekend in the Indian Creek area, and we launched early this morning to see if they were still there. They were there. In a little cove you can just about cast across. For about an hour and a half it was just about a bite every cast. We caught a bunch of whites, lost count. Brought home a couple that were 2 3/4 lbs. 1-2 lbers were the majority of the fish we caught. In between we picked up 3 walleye, all keepers, biggest was a little over 5 lbs. (released). Couple of black bass mixed in. They shut down and we fished a few banks and the back end of another cove hoping to catch some smallies. We caught 6 or 7 smalls and a big ol' crappie. Couple of the smalls were chunky keepers. 2.8 keitechs were all we used. Brought home enough for a couple of meals:
  21. Looking at the long range forecast, it looks like several inches of rain are possible this weekend.
  22. Oh man, sorry to see that one get off.
  23. Hard to read the tea leaves. 915?
  24. I read where Phil was saying that the plan would be to drop it to 917, then I assume close the floodgates.
  25. I think they are still pre-spawn.
