  1. If they screw up the Rage Craws, I'll be pizzed.
  2. Indeed, very nice, congrats!
  3. Did you notice if the ramp and courtesy dock at Hickory is useable? I haven't been down there in a while.
  4. Couple of things I did: Pretty much fish them on a long heavy jig rod so I can get a good hook set. I buy the cheap ones at Lureparts online, clip off the lousy hook, put a couple of split rings on the hook hanger, then add a good hook. I also put on one of those spring bait holder deals on the split ring, so I can screw the nose of the bait on, then Texas rig it. Doing all of the above has helped my hook up ratio with those things quite a bit.
  5. Yeah, time to get back out on the Rock. Been a couple of weeks since I have been there. Maybe they will start looking at jerk baits? Caught a few on the jerker here in Bella Vista last week, so maybe they will get going on them. I guess I'll just have to get out and see.
  6. You're talking suckers, right? And yes they were tasty. If that was carp Griz fed us, I am going to start keeping carp.
  7. Duck diapers to stop the spread of invasive species...hmmmmm...could be a market out there.
  8. I'd prefer the $25 "Carp Towel". When you're waiting 3 days for a named fish to bite, you can use it to swat away the flies.
  9. Just saw on the news that the Bella Vista police talked a man down from the top of the water tower. Yep, it was Champ.
  10. Yes sir, please do.
  11. Looks like Billet head has the oil covered. Thanks!
  12. Good ideas Griz. Only other thing I can think of are buns for the pork, assuming pork sandwiches. Saturday night will be the night for the pork feed, Friday for the fish fry. If anyone wants to bring some side dishes or desserts, probably wouldn't hurt.
  13. Hey Brett, we are planning to do the fish fry Friday night. I would say bring the flathead, sounds like we have enough walleye for about 20, so we'll need that flathead as there may be another 10-15 people. Griz is bringing the puppies, taters, and onions, I'll bring cole slaw, tartar sauce, and ketchup so I think we got the fry covered. Do you have enough oil for the fryer? We can get someone to volunteer to bring oil I bet. Anything else we might need?
  14. Not a bad day, kind of weird you didn't get one or two on the blade.
  15. Couple of nice brown fish, thanks for the report!
  16. For sure, both places are very nice.
  17. Sounds good!
  18. Not much of a fine for that many fish over the limit.
  19. Walleye - sounds good!
  20. Awesome. Might not hurt if some of the other guys bring some side dishes or other stuff.
  21. Cool, you bringing a whole pig? Going to need a lot of pork.
  22. Cool, may be an option if we get a few more. We could also rent out the bunkhouse, sleeps 4 and is pretty reasonable, $100/night or something like that.
  23. Time to start talking food and who is bringing what. We've got 18 stayers and I am guessing 10 or so that might come over for dinner. So if we are planning a fish fry for example, we're going to need a lot of fish. Thursday night everyone is on there own. Do the fish fry Friday night? Saturday night, what should we do? Open to suggestions. Might be a good idea for some of us to bring lunch meat and bread for sandwiches for boat lunches. I'll probably bring a case or two of water and diet cokes. As far as other cold beverages, bring your own.
  24. It is confirmed, we have both lodges reserved. I believe Cedar can sleep 10 and River Villa 8, so we're right at the limit.
  25. LOL, you gotta love it, going from a BASS rule change to possible end of the world scenarios.
