  1. One ounce, going to cast like a rocket. Just wonder how well it will wake. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Megabass_I_Jack/descpage-MBIJK.html
  2. Looks like good stuff!

By Edward Conlon. Published in 2004. He's an NYPD cop, relates his experiences starting from his rookie days up until and including when he made detective. He mostly worked narcotics and vice. Good read for the most part, it's such a different world than what most of us are used to. Sprinkled throughout with dry, cynical cop humor.
  4. Here ya go.
  5. Made up a dozen quart jars of cold pack pickles using the recipe in the link. I tend to add a few more cloves of garlic and sprigs of dill than the recipe calls for. Add a couple of teaspoons of red pepper flakes for spicy pickles or leave it out for plain dills. Lots of garden cukes this year, I had to do something with them. Makes a good pickle, and it's very easy, hardest part is peeling the garlic. I may try growing my own dill next year, not easy to find fresh dill around here. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ted-allen/refrigerator-pickles-cauliflower-carrots-cukes-you-name-it-recipe.html
  6. I've tried the KVD on fluoro, hard to describe, but it takes the dryness feel out of used fluoro, at lest for a few casts. But that's about all it seems to do.
  7. The upper end has been a mystery this year for sure.
  8. That's pretty good - Weddington has a reputation of being a tough lake.
  9. Couple of nice ones, congrats!
  10. I have used Nutech jigs, they are less snaggy than the conventional jig heads. And when they do get hung up you can usually pull them out if you get on the other side of it.
  11. Watched AGFC's Talking Outdoors today, they had a good segment on raising stripers from the capture of brood stock all the way to releasing the fingerlings. They will re-run it next week at 0630, Saturday, on KFTA. You can also find it here, I believe: http://www.agfc.com/resources/Pages/ResourcesVideos.aspx
  12. Thanks for the warning. I'm still sticking with Seaguar InvizX and AbrazX..
  13. I haven't fished that area in a month, but your plan sounds good, bluff ends and points. Drop shot, c-rig, and FB jigs. I would not be afraid to throw a shaky head either on some of the bluffs, steep banks with trees, and chunk rock banks. Pete Wenners goes over some good colors and sizes in his latest report, here's the link: http://www.hookedonbass.com/
  14. Yep, Infante has been a bit of a bust this year at the plate. So has Rios, and Zobrist plays OF also.
  15. Looks like some great seats. I like it when you can watch the pitches from behind home plate.
  16. The WR Border permit does not cover the area between the Beaver dam and Houseman, you'll need a non-res AR license and AR trout stamp for trout retention in that stretch of water. A White River Border Lakes License (WRL) is available for a $10 annual fee. This license allows holders of a valid resident license from either state to fish all waters of Bull Shoals, Norfork and Table Rock lakes without a fishing license from the other state. The permit is valid for impounded waters (the waters between Beaver Lake Dam and Houseman Access in Arkansas are excluded). Trout may not be taken with this license. Anglers younger than 16 do not need to buy this license to fish in Missouri waters. Anglers are required to abide by the fishing regulations of the state where they are fishing. The only differences in regulations are: On Table Rock Lake, spotted bass must be at least 12 inches long to keep (Arkansas) or at least 15 inches long to keep (Missouri).
  17. I wish he would not mention the secret color on a public forum. Now everyone will be throwing it.
  18. No K's is kind of strange, but you all had a good day in spite of it.
  19. Excellent report, it's a lot of fun catching those spots on the DS.
  20. They may have found their top of the rotation starter for this year at least. They gave up Brandon Finnegan, who has a lot of potential, but I think that when you have a team that has a shot at the World Series, you have to fill that immediate need.
  21. A healthy one for sure!
  22. Thanks for posting that video. Yeah Lucky Craft pricing is a head scratcher, usually their baits are on the high end of the price range, but these swim baits are not.
  23. Nice one!
