  1. Wow, the Hawgs beat them Jayhawks.
  2. That's one thing I would like to do someday is fish for Atlantics. Probably would have to be Maine for it to be affordable.
  3. Atlantic salmon - do they run up any of the rivers in Ireland. I have actually caught one. Caught it in the Skykomish river while steelhead fishing. It was a net pin escapee, all of it's fins were worn down, it weighed 4 lbs. or so, but no fight.
  4. I think they have stopped making them, I picked up a few on the Berkley site, they have them on sale. Limited colors. TW is out of them. I know there are some folks on here that fish them, they are a good wake bait. If you like them, you might want to pick a few up.
  5. There was talk that they might go back into production, but doesn't look like they will.
  6. I was curious how they tasted. Ditch walleye, that's a good one. Are they getting numerous in Arkansas?
  7. Snakehead - Did you eat it?
  8. 16-18" Bows on a jig, man that sounds like fun!
  9. Mizzou gets Princeton Saturday. They have a shot at going to the regional finals.
  10. Recording both games for viewing tonight. Be good to see them both win.
  11. Got one delivered to me today. I fish tail spinners some for schooling offshore bass and have caught a couple of stripers on them. My main complaint with many of them on the market is their small size and lousy stock hooks. The Gyro is 2 inches long which gives it a much bigger profile and comes with excellent hooks. I am looking forward to fishing it. I am in no way associated with 6th Sense, I like the looks of this lure and I believe it has potential in our Ozark lakes.
  12. I will bring dogs, kielbasa, buns, charcoal, and grill.
  13. Let's do it! Pavillion is reserved, M&M is getting the permits $10 voluntary donation, proceeds to go to CAM (Christian Action Ministries) Here are the rules, such as they are. Feel free to bring food. See pinned food thread and reply there if you plan on bringing anything May 20 Campbell Point COE park. 0630 start time, Tournaments ends at 1400. Must be a registered OA member to participate. Big bass format, largest weight wins. Any black bass (Largemouth, Smallmouth, Spotted Bass, Meanmouth) are eligible, but only one bass will qualify as the biggest. Plaque will be awarded to the winner (and just think of the bragging rights you will have on the forum). Immense prestige will accrue to the winner of this tournament. You can fish multiple people out of a boat, but the trophy will go to the individual that weighs in the biggest bass. You can trailer to another Table Rock launch if you prefer. Typical bass tourney rules apply - No bait, no trolling, and no A-rig or multi-arm lures. No promises on what will be there as far as food, but last year things came together and we had a pretty good spread. I recommend you bring your own drinks. Always a chance that weather could be bad in March, if it is looking bad enough to make travel treacherous then we will have to reschedule. We'll notify everyone a day or two in advance it if looks like bad weather. The list of champions: 2015 - Kbilb 2016 - Little Jasper 2017 - Carl W 2018 - Kbilb 2019 - Kbilb 2020 - Chip Covid 2021 - JayBill 2022 - Jaybill 2023 - Your moniker here?
  14. I was on Beaver Tuesday, the bass there are fat and sassy too. The smallmouth there have some huge guts. The fish are eating well in the big lakes.
  15. Another great day for you! Dang wind, we just can't seem to get a stretch of decent weather.
  16. I have spent a lot of days fishing that area, and it does take time on the water to get familiar with it. I'll keep an eye out for you, I'm in a black/silver Phoenix bass boat. Sure would be nice if this weather would calm down a bit, hard to get days to fish without high wind/rain and or cold.
  17. I found it to be a bit tough out there today, especially when the wind got cranking. Before the wind came up, I was catching one here and there on Neds and 2.8 Keitechs. Caught one and only one on a jerk bait. I fished main channel points and steep banks for the most part. I was getting bites a little shallower than last time I was here, 10-20 FOW. I caught 14 total, 4 were keepers, but barely. All spots except one largemouth and one smalls. Threw the cranks and spinner bait in the wind, but nothing doing on those baits. The fish are getting spunky, they were pulling pretty good. WT 50 Caught this dude right off the end of the ramp before I launched.
  18. Man that is a stretch, but if the Hogs can shoot and hit their free throws, they might have a chance. Of course that is assuming that can get past the Illini.
  19. Nice, very nice!
  20. I was up there too, we must have passed each other at one point. I fished from 0930 to about 3:30. I caught 16 bass, 5 of them were 15" keeper sized. Ned rig and 2.8 Keitech. I caught a couple in the very back of Indian, and several on the timbered points in Indian. The rest were scattered around the dam basin area.
  21. Those are some nice looking fish!
  22. Nice! How did you catch them?
  23. Been a while since I have heard of a 10 lber or even a 9 lber coming out of the Rock. A few years ago, one of McClelland's boys caught a 12 + here in Bella Vista at the local pond that gets stocked with trout.
  24. That's a lot of catching!
