  1. And all of the other rough fishes.
  2. I have never eaten a "native trout". I always released them in Alaska. Did enjoy the native salmon, a even did a char. Here in the wilds of MO and ARK, the native trout are all from out of state. I eat several.
  3. Either way, I bet she got to pee. Surely that could not have cost much, looks like a 9.9 Merc piston.
  4. Spring of year is best, spring floods clean out the crap. Just have to watch the weather and gauges. There will be cows and it does affect the fishing. Last time we floated was a long day in July. It can be a 13 hour float if fishing alot. We dropped one rig off at daylight at Cane Bluff and drove into Thomasville turning the headlight on that nite. If you were impressed by the Cane Bluff to 19 float, the upper is better. But the cattle ranchers are allowed to run the cattle down to the water. We take the jet boat up from 19 when the river is high now to Spring Creek, a few holes short of Cane Bluff and float back. Back in floating only days, we dropped in at McCormick Lake and went to 19, but that has been closed off. There is an access on other side of river off a gravel road at a long dead hole.
  5. Midway USA is about the best place for anything outdoors. Fast service and great support.
  6. Making Lower Unit Destroyers??
  7. How was fishing overall? Went to local lake in Perryville, muddy 54 degree water, not even a bump.
  8. Nice one. Have any trouble keeping the vacuum cleaner clean?
  9. Good pair of side cutters work best. I keep some onhand now. I could have avoided the ER trip, but Leatherman could not get the cutter in to where I needed it.
  10. Expensive swarm stands there.
  11. Thats not a creek, back home we call that a branch. Looks like fun.
  12. Planted 4 brussel sprouts in the rain today into the two containers and a corner of the raised bed. Picked up the plants in town. Started the Cucumbers, Maters, Squash inside the other day, waiting for sprouts. Lettuce and spinach popped up today.
  13. I want Congress to stop this Circular Storm Pattern that has developed this last year, on Weds or Thurs. Normal fronts come roaring thru, this circular stuff keeps us in limbo for a few days. I postulate its the warmth of all the swarm of people coming across the boarder that is causing this spectacular climate change. Colder down there from the loss of human bodies and global warming here because we are taking care of it.
  14. Seems to be the pattern this year. Maybe Congress can come up with Fishing Savings Time. Move fronts back two days each week.
  15. Finished off phase one of the garden this year today. Over the last few weeks after work, I have shoveled up one deep bed. Hoe tilled a cold crop bed and planted with lettuce, spinach, and sugar peas. Dug up a strawberry bed and replaced with new Everbearing roots. Dug the runner strawberries from last season and planted them in the block cells. Expanded the asparagus bed and added strawberries around it. Covered all with wire mesh to keep the cats out of it. Fertilized. Stirred the compost and added more. Compost and deep bed. Strawberry in cells Cold Crop Asparagus bed
  16. Negotiate that with the swarm that has come across the border in the last 14 months.
  17. From the looks of most women anymore, I could get depressed by being a gigilo. And I never get excited about showing more people how to crowd my streams.
  18. Or any Architect. I have always thought they should go to school for what they do.
  19. Minus the kerf of the saw blade
  20. I was thinking about white bass on the St Francois myself Sunday. Big front on Friday, should shake off and there should be runners up the river. Level is good.
  21. He is a bass fisher.
  22. The older I get, the more I hate the jacking around with the time. Fall really sucks, end up waking an hour early and tossing around till alarm time. Takes till about Jan to get over that. My schedule is pretty regular. Mon-Fri, wake at 5:40, bed by 9:30 during Standard time. Pretty much the same during Daylight saving time, but usually outside till dark. If I had my way, it would be Standard Time all of the time, but, as usual, Congress dicked that up.
  23. Going up every day. That is just a regular construction stud used in interior walls, typical home has hundreds of them. 3/4 advantec is back to $70 a sheet, osb $50.
  24. https://www.kfvs12.com/2022/03/15/senate-passes-bill-that-would-make-daylight-saving-time-permanent/ Can't save money, can't do much of anything. At least they saved the sun.
