  1. Going to have to elaborate, have not seen a bundt pan since the 70's.
  2. It does not work good with what I have done to my mouth either. Cut it off the cobb and slather some butter on it, its still good.
  3. Careful there. I want you to to crow about it someday. 7 years out now on Father's Day. BTW, Cock a Doodle Dooo....
  4. Careful. Wait, the other side will be in nursing home before anyone tends to go after him.
  5. Actually, cut head off after gutting them onsite in the stream at house before prep. Kid named Maverick, about 5 years old, informed me that you were supposed to clean them at the cleaning station now. He was full of questions, small striped mohawk down his head from front to back with a little ponytail and rest shaved. His "Guardian" I referred to as his Grandpa, a tattooed feller almost my age that was catching his second limit for the day kept getting on to him for pestering me. He said that was not his "Grandpa", but never did aknowledge his actual connection. I doubt if the tattooed feller had any sisters left of fertile age to spawn with, so I doubt if he was "Dad". Iced them, washed them again well, sprayed with olive oil and applied a good coat of Lemon Pepper Seasoning. Tossed them on hot gas grill with pecan smoke chips going on other side burner with some yellow squash in one foil packet and asparagus, bacon, parm cheese in another. Seared the trout till skin peeled on both sides. Popped another Schafly and had some supper. I even kept 2 intentionally just to have for supper. Trout are better from the 11 pt, pinker and firmer flesh. But, I do like liver from time to time, so a stocker fits in.
  6. I do now, coughed up $5 bucks for those mealy mushy gray fish. Plus about $25 in fuel. I did stop at Wally World in Fredricktown on way back and bought a $10 bag of frozen Atlantic Salmon Fillets for the Freezer at the farm to munch on when I am out there. Much better eating. Pretty red firm meat there, goes good with a salad and quick for the grill.
  7. I quit when he pointed at the podium he was aiming for and had to be confirmed.... The world is a happier place when you don't watch it. Just vote the right way and go on, Poke and Hope.
  8. My patch should have some ready soon, wind tossed it around some this week. As far as eating deer, I have a hard time now after I see all of the ticks that are eating them up. Even a warble worm or two
  9. Not to mention, they run on batteries....
  10. Yep. I whipped out my EDC knife to gut a few trout today. I guess I have been cutting too many boxes, it was dull. But I muddled thru it and got the job done with a kid named Maverick cheering me on and washing off the fish with his alligator squirt gun.
  11. We are at the fringe of solar efficiency in this neck of the woods. And, Electrick cars are a thing of the past.
  12. Drove up to Montauk for the day today. You could see the brown tips all over. But they were spotty. Some fields, powerline cuts, and yards took the brunt of it. But I could drive for miles and not see any signs. BTW, fishing was ok. Left the farm in flood stage from last nights thunderstorm this morning, Left the humidity and enjoyed some better temps, 70's. Yesterday, I stood sweating my shoes full just standing in the shade talking to a neighbor. Heat and humidity was brutal. 101 on gauge.
  13. Cycle is pretty well completed. The last wind storm that came thru last week blew tips off the oak trees and they are scattered on the ground around here. After they mate, they bore holes in the ends of tree limbs and lay eggs. Around here, mostly oaks. The tips of the limbs turn brown and die, break off, fall to ground and the larva enter for another 13 or 17 years.
  14. You need it to make black powder. Rabies may give it some extra kick.

    Finally

Horses are a waste. We have cars and side by sides now to take up that slack. Horses ruin the pasture, need lots of coddling, and are about like a woman, can't ever figure them out. Bunnies are fun and good to eat. Are you going to start butchering all of that yourself again? Been a long time since I scalded a pig.
  16. Spent many nites at the Quarry Park. One weekend with Tom Hargrove during the fly festival. He was a hoot. That was when my inflatable one man pontoon learned it could handle 2 units on the Norfork and still catch fish.
  17. Rather have bats than the gang shootouts that have been taking place on the streets around here.
  18. I am blind, I am blind. Never seen you in person, but now. Some things you can't un see. Not me, I am Hirsute. Got to have that buffer zone.
  19. Like the spot on your lip?
  20. That odd, all this heat needs electricity to cool things off. That is why I hate tailwaters in the summer, full blast generation. Pickwick was ramping up generation all day and turning off around midnight to 8 am.this weekend in TN. 0 to 36k by 3 pm.
  21. I sit on my butt so much I keep it wore slick. Never could figure out why we have sweat glands on our butt.
  22. Per person or per car?
  23. I lost an Orvis CFO there I think. Send me a pic and I will see if I notice the scratch marks on it.
  24. Sounds good. Been thinking about hitting that with my Buddy from TDL. We have not done it in a while. Are they still charging to put in at Mounts?
  25. You really like that thing. I think I still have the one eyed one that I was using the day we fished together. Lucky Strike?
