It's a niche market. Most beekeepers extract the honey and use the comb again. It is an expensive way to make honey when you make comb honey. But I have seen those little dribbles at Harp's, I toss about $100 of those dribbles on the ground when I work hives and scrape off comb that they have stuffed in cracks and between frames. Bees clean it up and put it back where it should be.

Just about the right size. We would butcher a feeder pig on occasion growing up about that size if something crippled one before we hauled them off. Those little pork chops would melt in your mouth.

Funny, I was thinking about how the Dustbowl Sucked too. SEMO today in New Madrid area. Been choking on sand and dust all afternoon to come home to idiot cable crew that could not read dig right markers and cut water lines again. Second time this month. Power flickering from ice storm lines that are still weak. Going to Poplar Bluff tomorrow to survey more tornado damage.

Maybe they wanted you to go out and release the valve and help out... We drove to the upper Current River one year on a day like this. Drove down to Parker Access to Trout Fish. Wind blowing all day, had to cut a tree to get out with a handsaw in the truck. Driving back enjoying a beverage, we noticed a glow, the Great Fire of Council Bluff. Took a side road and enjoyed some more beverages while watching the fire jump from pine tree to pine tree. It was a sight to behold, my first up close wild fire. We piddled around long enough and it was getting late. Hwy 32 was opened, but there was still embers and stuff burning away, we hopped out to relieve ourselves and get ourselves smokey. Had a good story for the wives to explain our lateness. "We were fighting a forest fire".

Ruger makes some top notch stuff at a working man price. My first rifle was a 10/22, I own about a dozen of them now and kids or grandkids get them as first guns. Many Ruger pistols, Single Sixes, Marks, Wranglers, American 45 and Security 9's, and a Blackhawk, A Ruger American .17 hmr. I have always wanted a Red Label Shotgun or a nice Ruger No.1 single shot... Just never had one hit me at the right moment.

Sitting at farm on generator tonite. Long path out of Van Buren did a touchdown again 1/2 mile down road. Totalled a house and went off into MDC land. Crossed and hit campground on Castor. Poplar Bluff whacked pretty good. Clearwater Lake area under curfew tonite from damage there. I had some quarter size hail, no damage on farm. Power will be off a few days.

They clear cut a section of the Little Frederick off the 11pt many years ago. The creek ran dry in the area that we used to catch nice fish. Losing streams get clogged in the outlet or the inlet and parts run dry for years. There is some flow again there now.

When I am tired and broke down after a day of fishing, I tend to fillet like you did. But when I wake up and have alot of fish, I can tilt the knife a little and avoid that extra step. Nice white fillets with no red lines. I use one of those green electric ones. And cut the red off like you did with knife. But that extra step is a PITA. We hammered them down in TN at Satillo Saturday. Probably caught 65 in 4 hours. Limited out in an hour, back to ramp and iced them down. Went after Sauger and played with boat running knife edge up a crooked creek for a while resting our arms. Then back to mouth of creek to hit sauger with jigs, started catching more white bass. Finished day off with phrase, next fish we catch that is not a double, we go home. I caught one, buddy did not. Flicker shads in chrome finish.

But my local County Highway Department has been permitted to mine gravel out of my creek at several locations. They have applied for the Corps permits and met the requirements of the Dept of Nat. Resources. We have never received monetary benefits from it. It just pools up where the current slows down. Gravel mining in some locations is not bad, it offsets the poor land management from others upstream that allow the runoff to come down stream and settle. A nice buffer zone from fields and pastures to the creek with trees and other land holding structures are needed in all waterways. Clear cuts on hillsides seem to cause the most issues with gravel in streams, disturbing the delicate cover of the thin soils in the Ozarks..

Planted Raised Beds today with lettuce, spinach, and sweet snow peas. Cleaned out asparagus bed and put some fertilize on. 75 here and bees are flying. Looks like early spring. May till some of the garden this weekend if it does not rain much and plant some taters and onions

I looked at one of those when I was hitting Alaska in 44 mag. All I could think about was my fingers going numb after a sesson with my 6" 686 357 mag with full power 158 gr hollow points. But they feel great and handle well, probably could squirt a few round out on target before I give up......

Does anyone remember the guy with the signs upstream of the access in the Catch and Release portion of the Norfork below the dam and above the White River? He had "Shooting Range" signs and was rumored to be a bad a screwing with people wading around his property. That was back before CCW days and I just packed heat because I might need to shoot a snake. Never saw him, but caught my best Brown there on a fly rod, 25". That was mid 90's. I think it is Ackerman or River Ridge now, but it was something else back then. Tom Hargrove dropped my truck off there one time during the fall fly fest in Mountain Home and I floated thru in my 8' inflatable pontoon. They kicked the generators on about half way and I got to test the rockers on my whitewater rated rig. Never even went to town to see the festival, fishing was too good.

Kinda looked like inbred stupidity to me. Lots of that affliction going on now days........... When I confront a trespasser, I am blunt and direct. They are usually trespassing or lost and realize they are wrong. I do not have to even display a weapon. They always back down and start coming up with excuses, somebody told them it was ok, they are lost, etc, used to come here as a kid, blah blah blah. But my posture and body language has worked so far. They have retreated and seem to realize I own the place. But I always start with "Hello, who are you?" I own both side of a stream, but never run into fishermen. Its always hunters. And the others looking for something. I get names, have game cam pics of license plates, and a good network to find out who and what they are up to. One of my best lines "I don't allow hunting, we are running active traplines on my property." That lets them know there are dangers for their dogs and someone is always around to check on things...
