Cold blue has improved some, less toxic chemical. Duracoat is easy and looks good as long as the gun is not a collectable.

What are you wanting done to it? Re Blue job or fixing rust and pits?

I came home this afternoon to a stray cat lounging on the boat cover. Guess he had to climb up there to get away from the neighbors dogs. He took off for the woods, but stopped to look back. I sped up his step with a bb in his butt. I just bought that new boat cover and am sure it is not warrantied against cat claws. Went inside, mosquitoes too thick and can't spare a pint of blood right now.

Trump bailed on Cape because of Hurricane. Did not go.

http://www.airgunsmith.com/Benjamin_137/Benjamin_137.html http://www.abairgun.com/images/ben 13x.pdf If thats the model. I saw a 132 on a table at the show for $225 this weekend, way over price. You could shoot a PCP for another bill. Not much to it. Lots of info on the web. My Great Uncle had one in the city we shot at feral cats with. Missed it at his auction. The little pump handle was a finger web pincher. By my time, it was the Crosman 1322 which got lost somewhere. I have a Benjamin HB22 I picked up at Dicks on clearance a few years back that I never took a liking too. My new model Crosman 1322 lacks the zip that the old ones did. That new one I picked up over the weekend has more compression. Thinking about moving the 22 barrel over onto it.

I too plan on going to the PCP route. The airgun guy was not at the show this time. Heading down the CO2 route for now. Good shooting.

Hit paydirt this weekend at the gunshow Friday nite. Bulk box of goodies for all 1 money. Came home with mint in box Crosman 357 CO2 pistol complete, Crosman 1377 like new, Crosman 2240 old style with packaging and manuals, Crosman SSP-250 with all 3 barrels and papers. 2 other CO2 Pistols in boxes, Crosman pistol scope and mount in box, 2 new shoulder stocks in boxes, pellets and CO2 cartridges. Looks like winter projects for me. All from late 80's to early 90's in good shape. The 3 barrel Crosman SSP-250 has the .177, .22, and .20 caliber barrels and shot from the factory a 1" group at 15 yards. It and the Crosman 2240 have lots of mods available on the net. Loaded up on 3 new Old Leatherman tools and a couple of knives while there also. Bought the kids a like new Rossi .410 single shot to hunt with. Great rainy weekend.

Happy Birthday and many more Phil.

I think more people should crowd the cities and leave the outdoors to the loners. The more you promote the wild, the less it becomes.

Pretty slow from the looks of it.

Any one ever ran across this guy? Does some pretty good work. Canoe Art from Canoekayak.com

Learning from the mistakes of Past POTUS, Trump has cancelled the rally due to the Hurricane Florence coming ashore. Better to command the US than to rally for a campaign. Wise choice, wonder how they will spin it.

Agents have been using new tech to catch poachers. Call it profiling, but its the MDC, they are out to catch the offenders without political correctness. That is their job. They are not strapped by the means of local law enforcement. They are out to catch poachers. The thefts of our wild game. Due process is in order. All orders of the law are observed. They have just found a loophole. The loophole is that stupid people tend to break the law in a certain manner. They have seen the trend and acted upon it and made arrests. And it has irritated someone. Dableblabber is a..... Fill in the blank.

Just couldn’t help myself

Looks like the latest and greatest fish finder. But I am still trying to read the layout on my Humminbird 698 Si. Takes alot of the fun out of fishing. Leaves the human experience out of it. -
Making the best out of hooking yourself...
jdmidwest replied to JestersHK's topic in General Angling Discussion
If you are going to release them anyway, why worry about loosing them? I could spend several days pinching barbs. But, I have started mashing them down on the Flicker Shads. That special crook is a pain to pull out. -
Actually the Capital Building was a marvel to see and be in. The holes were all out on Sunday. The architecture, history, and museum was worth the 3 hours we spent there. Did not take a tour, just walked around in awe. Its a beautiful, massive structure. The gardens and fountains, the trees around the exterior. We took it all in without any of the other BS that really takes place there. And all of the taxpayer dollars that is spent there is hard to really fathom.

Stormy was at a local nightclub on Father's Day weekend, but I went to a more holesome place that weekend. We toured the State Capital in Jefferson City.

Making the best out of hooking yourself...
jdmidwest replied to JestersHK's topic in General Angling Discussion
A new pair of side cutter pliers are in all of my bags now since the incident. After they got the flopping 10" trout off the hook of the Flicker Shad lure, the next step was to take the lure off the hook. Leatherman failed, could not get close enough. Snap ring pliers would have helped, but all buddies were afraid to get to close to the hook to work the ring off. Sobriety was still a factor. A rusty pair of side cutters was found in toolbox of local bystander river lot owner and much effort was put into separating the lure from the hook. But that is always the best way to prevent another hook penetration while removal of the offensive points. The sidecutters came into play in TN last month when I pushed the hook thru with a little cut from a precision surgeon. They cut thru the wire easily and was back fishing in a few minutes. They allow you to get in close to cut heavy wire or hooks. I don't think I have ever sank a single barb hook in my body. It has always been trebles on a lure with multiple hooks. Until this season, it has been the Rapala product that has caused most of my hookups, followed by Heddon Torpedos. -

Looks like I started a new fad this year back in May. Still does not do better than the two index fingers on the same treble hook that I pulled off. -
Mine are prescription. My Grandson gets Wally's cheapest polarized since he gets some every trip. If I did not need a prescription to see, a good pair of polycarbonate polarized ones would be on my head with ballistic properties and wrap around lenses
