  1. The dam has surely gotten worse in the last 4 years, I would be more skeered now. May be a 1 or a .5 if more people have crowded in underneath the flood plain.
  2. Obviously they are not looking for those taking a whizz.
  3. Did not see anything in the news about it, must have already been silenced. Park bldgs burn, forest fire, or just some kids burn a turd shack?
  4. Did I miss something? Whats the rest of the story?
  5. Looks like a natural occurance. Maybe hinge a tree??
  6. Pastures were greening up at the farm today. Bees are out and burning up winter stores. Last year we had that cold snap in April and May and killed a bunch of bees because they were brooded up and trapped from the honey stores. El Nina or something in the gulf putting too much warm air up the pipes from the south.
  7. Silent front went thru last night. May have jacked them up.
  8. No, most of the time I am pulling the weight out and putting it back. Depends on current
  9. I have luck in backwaters with a unweighted neko rigged dinger. Morning Dawn was good last time out
  10. Merry Christmas all. Spent the day chasing 5 grandkids
  11. I have done the suv thing, last pickup had a shell that was setup for sleeping. Never could stretch out in suv. Never tried sleeping in Sequoia. Roof rack will hold it and truck has its beauty marks from kayaks going up and down already. Did I mention wife was going too?
  12. What does the current one have to say about her? Tread lightly, it is an x.
  13. You have that thing about the Amish. Is she noodling the fish on Niagua??
  14. I have been there a few times with a lifer that has been fishing it for 40 years. He likes the area around the State Park and that Island near Masters. As a fallback in wind, I would hit Ruark Area as it runs from east to west. You have high sides on the boat, you should be fine. But nobody likes to get beat up in the wind.
  15. Merry Christmas to me. I pull a boat where I go most of the time. I never need more than a place to crash at nite after. Camper is out, motels are an expense. I like the outdoors and a tent. The rig I run has a full camp box inside of it already. But, I end up in a rough campsite with rough ground to pitch a tent on and my old bones don't like it. Plus, that all takes time if I am traveling to another spot. I am going to the roof top, something that pops up quick and easy and will stand up to the elements. Something that goes back down quick in the morn and I can get back out to fishing. Anybody have one on here? Here is where I am about to go. Takes up half a rack, looks solid, has a nice mattress, and has an insulation option for cold weather. https://www.thule.com/en-us/rooftop-tents-and-accessories/rooftop-tents/thule-tepui-foothill-_-901250
  16. I see that too, just thought goodle was basing stuff on my age. I went into my goodel account while wasting time at work today and switched off all tracking. They actually let you do that with some effort. Meanwhile, I came across this while checking my feeds. I despise apple devices, all I have are Android. Gonna do some attacking on that point. https://www.howtogeek.com/773052/how-to-monitor-and-block-ad-trackers-on-android/
  17. The only Cloony movie where he did not have to act. Dapper Dan.
  18. You should be fine. Watch the direction of the wind and pick points that are on the down wind side. That first island at Masters and the bluffs north of it have produced for me in the fall.
  19. Why don't they make a robotic bass that will bite during the day after a strong front? That way I can catch more fish on my days off.
  20. I have been bitten on the job selling my product 3 times this last year. None broke the skin. One was a cur, one of 5 that overpowered the little gal that opened the door, the shepard, pyronees, labs, and this one mix cur. It lunged and I deflected with my arm. It cost her an extra grand in my product. Next was a friend of the owner, little poodle, nabbed my ankle when I was going to car to get her a brochure. She told the dog, "bad doggy, tell him your're sorry.. Another lap dog nailed me in the calf, but did not break skin. Owner got mad when the steel toe boot connected and made it limp. The guy with the heeler that kept nipping at my heels was a pain, but I made good money off him. 3 pit bulls, customers got mad when I was very rude and asked them to put them up in the house when they were agressive to me. Called the office and bitched, my boss asked me why I did not shoot them. Too many people that do not know how to own animals is the problem.
  21. Oldy but a goody. This guy has had 2 tickets since then from me. I rolled his pit bull under the sequoia all the way from front to back on the way in a few months ago and its still limping around. Some do not need to have animals. https://forums.ozarkanglers.com/topic/14249-the-great-weiner-dog-massacre-of-08/#comment-86152
  22. It is Missouri and we are a "Stand Your Ground State". You have the right to use lethal force against anything endangering yourself, family, regardless of where you are. When you are on your own property, you don't have to put up with it. Don't jump into a dogfight and try to break it up, as you know now, its probably not worth it. Family or a person, yes, try to get them off. My county will have the sheriff deputy out in a heartbeat handing out tickets for failing to control your animals when you report a trespassing dog. I have seen the tickets handed out personally.
  23. How could he tell? Does he have X-ray vision???
  24. I would file criminal assault charges against the dogs owner. You were attacked on your own property. If the sheriff will not pursue criminal charges, you will have to file civil charges to recover expenses.
