That is a rare one.
We have jetted by many paw paw patches this summer and none have any fruit on them in the 11pt River. Several grow in the fence rows along the lanes at the farm, but they never bear fruit.
Not sure if it gets eaten early by critters or they are just barren.
I am lucky to get any of my housing engineers to come within a foot of the tolerance.
Had one call the other day asking me to tell him how to level the header of the opening. My response, "to the gravity of the earth". Seems like he should have called me with that question before he poured the concrete that was off 2" in 14'.
Drug use is up all over. Too much idle time.
Petty theft is up to all time high too. Gotta support the habit somehow. Watch out for your catalytic converters.
The P-40 was in operation at the start of the war. As it advanced, so did the aircraft. They were replaced by the F4U Corsairs, P-38 Lightings, and the P-51 Mustangs which were more adept at performing the job.
The P-40 airframe was developed in peacetime.
Nice.
I make it a point to tour the Civil War sites when I am down south. Kinda sad how they treated the Confederate bodies. Most were dumped in mass graves or ditches for burial. They were all Americans. It was not like a foreign invader trying to take over.
The real meaning of the South's rebellion was the Government was trying to ruin the way they did business. They grew the crops that fed and clothed the North. And the Government wanted to take away the combines and planters.
The advent of better machinery to farm with would have prevented the war and ended slavery anyway.
Mdc trout in Central Mo has suffered the past few years. Last year they could not breed them due to social distance in work place. Borrowed some fry from private source. Floods and other issues have been the excuses in the years before then.
I gave up on Montauk and upper Current River last season and did not waste gas on it. 11 PT has been devoid of trout this summer also. They finally brought a load before Labor Day along with some big brood stock. Malfunction killed the big ones on the way to river I was told.
I don't really know what their plan is for the future, or if they have one. Seems like Shepard of the Hills keeps doing things right.
I went thru the drive thru today, ordered a $3.69 meal and a water. Total was $6.73.
"How do ya figure that?"
"I gave you a deal because you ordered a drink."
Finally paid $4.23 at window.
Gotta do the math. They can't.
C store in Doniphan wanted to charge me $15 for a bag of ice and a soda. Took about 15 minutes to get them to figure that one out.
They are fun if you have the time. Something I never seem to have any more. Back in the 90's I hit all of the wild trout streams around the Rolla area down to Arkansas Line.
I still am missing the SW Mo. Areas.
