  1. Hey that was actually my hand!!!!
  2. I have used reel magic for years with P-Line CX Premium... I love the stuff and have never had issues with it breaking
  3. Custom painted in the infamous Stunted Neosho pattern!!! They look killer!
  4. Man I would love to see the MDC pick just one stream today that has the potential of growing good numbers of big smallmouth (17" and above) and make it catch and release only. Let's just say the Meramec... Then patrol the hell out of it to enforce the C&R and poaching that takes place year round... Give it at least 5 years (if not more) and see what happens. That allows those wanting to keep fish to still fish other streams but lets us get some solid baseline data. It also makes it more manageable for the MDC to patrol and enforce as they only have to focus their main efforts on one stream. Just a thought on an experiment I'd love to see happen.
  5. Nice one semble!!!
  6. Sounds like a solid day fishing-wise for this time of year. Unfortunately a lot of dumb@asses on the lake this time of year!
  7. Great picture! Now lets hear some details on the fishing

  9. Costa hands down... I'll never buy another brand as long as I live
  10. Nice man! Now the guys in the 21 ft Rangers can't complain about the waves! Way to tough it out and stick a good one!
  11. I have a Curado 200 DHSV and a Curado 200 G7... Both are used but in perfect working order and are nearly perfect cosmetically as well. PM me and I can send you pictures and we can discuss price. I also have a Quantum Energy PT E100SPT that is in great condition as well. Only reason I'm looking to sell these reels is because I upgraded to the Curado I series and Lews last year.
  12. Impressive creek largemouth!
  13. No idea but that looks like a Texas specimen. That would probably beat the MO state record. Impressive fish!
  14. Awesome report and nice fish! Glad you got the Coosa wet again. We need to go soon
  15. A 6 year old thread brought back to life with a creepy post.... Hahahahaha... Gotta love it!
  16. Those custom painted crankbaits are paying off!! Congrats to you and Adrian!
  17. Simply awesome! You da man Glen! Thanks for sharing!!!
  18. Sent you a PM Wrench
  19. They probably haven't moved too far. They probably moved to the closest deep water. Find docks or secondary points in 10-15 foot of water that are closest to the back of the cove you saw them feeding in. The bass will move shallow to feed periodically and then drop back to the nearest deep water where they feel most comfortable again.
  20. Another technique that can work in these conditions is to basically flip those junk mats with a big beaver or jig. Find mats that have pushed up against the bank in the backs of creeks, pockets, or even bluff pockets. Some big fish will hide out under those. Grab your heavy flippin stick, a big ole weight, a strong hook, and a pack of these in any dark color and nail a big one! http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Reaction_Innovations_Double_Wide_Beaver_520_6pk/descpage-RIDWB.html
  21. Mitch as you know, all I use is P-Line CX Premium... I have 3000 yd spools of 8, 10, 12, and 15 if you ever wanna spool up and try it out. I could probably count on 1 hand the number of times I've broken off on a hook set or fish in the last 5 years... And two happened in your boat on the same day when I was dumb and had too light of line for the rod I was using. It has a thinner diameter and is much limper than the Yozuri Hybrid... But Yozuri probably has a little better abrasion resistance.
  22. I don't necessarily agree... If you take good care of your equipment it will last. I have two older versions of the Quantum Energy spinning reels that have lasted me about 8-10 years. They are still as smooth as can be and I just upgraded to the newer models this year because there was a 2 week window that I could get them for $95 a piece. I've been impressed with them so far. Now don't get me wrong, gear is going to get beat up a little bit while stream fishing... It's the nature of the beast. But if you care about your equipment and do proper maintenance on it, they will last. Dunking the reel is inevitable and probably the worst thing for a spinning reel. But if your mindful of that it won't happen too often. Just make sure to regularly clean and oil your gear. Also store it inside away from the elements. I look at all of my gear as somewhat of an investment. I want to be able to sell my gear for as much as possible when I decide to upgrade. That's why I take such good care of it. Plus it keeps me busy when I'm not fishing and my gear is in top shape when I do hit the water.

  25. Don't be pissed if you don't catch a 20" up there because their 15"-18" fish will weigh way more than the smallmouth here in Missouri. They grow like footballs up there. You may catch a 17" fish up there that weighs as much or more than a 20" fish here in MO.
