I have a real deal for someone, I have a box of fish fossils. These are some that Pat and I quarried in Wyoming not far from Fossil Butte National park. In the box also are leaf and insect fossils we found in a shale bed in Utah. This is just a sample. I would gladly gift the box to someone or a science class at a school maybe. Check this one out. It's tiny but it is a caddis. When viewed with a magnifier you can see the body and wings. Act now and these can be yours today! Pat is tired of this box of treasures.😁@Nick Adams are you a teacher?" Just talked to my son again. Said he would kick my arse if I tried to come down there before this was over. What he has to do just to get our grandchildren to high school. Actually I am taken back he even went there! when I see a crowd now I turn around like running into flood water. In a flood or a crowd I can't hold my breath long enough! 🤪 Our Son lives on the North West corner of Sunset and Cambell streets. He and all his neighbors and friends in a larger radius of Bass bro. Said to all the neighbors of Bass Pro warning them of the cluster and to avoid the area to make traveling to and from work better. He like others have said it is a nightmare.

You had me thinking and looking harder at the celt pictures. But look at granite headstones. They can get those polished like a mirror. My old-line Forman passed a couple weeks ago. Went to his graveside service. Walking to his resting site passed some newly placed stones. Shiny like glass.

Nope got to disagree. His celt is grainy but polished. Mozarkite is a chert like you said, never seen one ground. It would be too hard. The celt has been polished by work on a grindstone by hand. You can polish granite by working through grits. It like Tjm said not be granite but IMO it's not a chert. Fyi there are chert Celt like pieces, but they were worked by a billet or hammerstone and could be made flatter and sharper but more fragile on impact.
