  1. Where did you see where I said I thanked a scientist other than for my Covid shot?
  2. P.S. @fishinwrench, Happy to have my vaccinations for covid and I thanked a scientist.
  3. I think you should sit down Glen and light you up a smoke and do some light reading. Thank a scientist after reading this: This is just a bit of a world of information available out there on the subject. I may be an old man and nuttier than a squirrel turd but I do remember living in one of the states that is a mega producer of fresh veggies sold at your local piggily wiggly or super mart. Talk about spraying from crop duster and wheeled sprayers. Ah yes the perfect tomato. Bred for best growth, size, big producers on and on. Bred out of these are ugly homegrown tasty fruits. Mass produced are picked green weeks before ripening and taste like crap. This stuff that are put now in these tasteless fruits are put in the irrigation system. You know it is really hard to wash off what is in the inside of the tomato. It's not just tomatoes it is all commercial grown veggies. Thank a scientist . Read on my friend and take another drag off that smoke, Tomatoes PDF (ucdavis.edu) Then read this crap used in tobacco growth. I read everything likes the tobacco plant and it has to have much control to grow and produce a good profit. Microsoft Word - ENT-15 Tobacco.doc (uky.edu) Fungicide Spray Schedule for Tobacco Transplant Production | Kentucky Pest News (wordpress.com) I thing you should grow your own? Maybe you do? Then before the tobacco goes out to the consumer other chemicals are added to it. Oh yea thank a scientist . I will continue to grow my own veggies as best I can. Spend a bit extra I am sure and get some exercise while I am at it. I love my ugly non perfect tasty tomatoes to eat in season. Dehydrate and or can for later.
  4. I'm a few days late for getting lettuce and bok choy out. Will get it out in next few days after the 31 degree night being called for. That bed is tilled and ready to go. Tomatoes and peppers doing good under LED grow light. They can wait until nighttime temps are warmer. Nothing like growing your own. I am in control of every part of my food that way. Never know what has been sprayed, or pickers have pooped or pissed on. Homegrown tastes so much better. Picked and eaten same day. Not picked before ready, trucked to packaging plant then trucked to store then everyone fingers it then you buy it and eat it.
  5. I agree it is a mess as is Fed X and UPS. Half the time I order something from Amazon it is taken by UPS to the post office and the post office delivers it to me a day late. There is an agreement between UPS and Post office for this. Nothing but being lazy because there might not be other deliveries in my immediate area. We are at the mercy of all these delivery systems. Don't get me started on Fed X. They really, really make me mad. Never heard so many excuses for delays. What good is tracking? Rant over!
  6. Had a friend who doesen't post here see this. He sent me a suggestion for you. Check this site out and ask same question. He sais some of the guys on here might have the update you need, Humminbird Side Imaging Forums (sideimagingsoft.com) Marty
  7. It is pretty neat the variety of potential of odd varieties. Right now it is just an incidental catch and be tickled with it. I do prefer a fish that will pull and tug and try to take you and your rod into the water.

  9. Very special Trip Report. Thanks DJ.
  10. Three times with me Mitch. First time that I ever have had gone to emergency room. Worst of the pain was already over as stone had moved from kidney to bladder or stuck wherever it decided to park itself. I could not pee and had to leave with a catheter. It was a weekend and I had all I could take with the catheter. Pat knew how to remove it and did hoping the flow would start again. It did! Last two stones I sucked up the pain and made it through. It hurt I know Mitch , feel for you.
  11. Same thing here and we would dove hunt on way home from school. We were raised different back then. Some are still raised that way but those that were not have messed it up for all. This has snowballed and it is getting bad worse.
  12. Good luck JD, That was a tough hit for you this winter. My two long hives over wintered fine. We need to start a bee thread. I have six swarm traps out right now. One of my long hives swarmed here in the yard yesterday. I was home and caught the swarm on a short apple tree. They were around the trunk so i had to piss ant the bees and introduced then into a Layens hive I just finished. Looking good today and with this rainy cold weather I gave them some supplemental feed to get them through this system of weather events. My hive deal is different than your stack hives. Kind of fun and interesting. Might actually get some honey this season. We need bees they are important.
  13. Or wet feet . More rain coming too.

  19. For sure. I lack a flathead on the long stick but it will happen if I live long enough.
  20. Well an hour and a half from the koi pond can probably get you on a blue cat. Caught two in five trips on the fly so it is a crap shoot but a man of your skills will most likely get it done. Quicker witha gob of worms.
  21. Second this place. Have stayed there many times.
  22. Says the guy with 10,000 species from all corners of the globe!
