  1. Here we go boys and girls! The Mrs. on the front line has stepped up. So doubters are going to doubt, Chicken littles are going to say the sky is falling. We here in this household have faith and our glasses are half full instead of half empty. You are more in danger from getting hurt or dying driving to your favorite fishing spot than getting this shot. Lets talk about this. Vaccines are life savers. Lets start with Polio. This is near and dear to me. My father had polio and I seen what it had done to him. Are any others here old enough to know someone that lived and dealt with living with polio? Tetanus, The Flu (Influenza), Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, Rubella, Hib, Measles, Whooping Cough (Pertussis), Pneumococcal Disease, Rotavirus, Mumps, Chickenpox, Diphtheria to name a few. Polio has been eradicated smallpox not listed above has been too. To those of you waiting to see if there is any side effects to this new Covid vaccine please take time to thank those people that took their shots in the past for being trailblazers so to say. Because of them you have less to worry about today. Thank the ones who now take modern vaccines because they are protecting you by not spreading things to make you sick. Just needing to vent so thanks for listening. Have a good day friends

    While picking up some ingredients at our favorite Asian market I spied something as Pat was checking out. I instantly thought of @Mitch f and his family! So Mitch what are we looking at?
  5. Well my Mom in Assisted living got her first one today! She is happy and so am I. Mrs. BilletHead is supposed to get hers Friday or first part of next week. She nurses for a doctor and is excited to get it done.. Makes me happy too. I will await my turn but am not apprehensive at all about getting it. Just talked to my mother and told her it will be nice to visit her when allowed and give her a big hug. She cried..

  13. Well if the midgets of the rainbow world are the McCloud then the Inland Redband rainbows Pat and I caught in Nevada during our 2019 trip should be considered the micros of the rainbow breed. We also on that trip caught them in Idaho and Oregon. Manual (westernnativetrout.org)

  16. Well done Austin! Very nice buck and thanks for sharing.. I have been out twice with the air rifle. Seeing deer but am not pushing the issue.. With 5 archery deer in the freezer we really do not have room for another. BilletHead

    Christmas dinner and more, The Christmas food you have seen us cook and serve before so we will concentrate on the more part of this post.. So yesterday it was Sichuan fragrant goose a BilletHead favorite. Not to the more part. This started a couple days ago. Venison Confit. 2 to 4 lb. roast brined in sugar, salt, thyme, rosemary, bay leaves, star anise pods, smashed garlic, allspice berries and juniper berries. 2 quarts of water. 10 to 72 hours we did 24 plus hours. Then air dried for a few hours. Vac sealed in bag with goose fat, fresh thyme, fresh rosemary and a couple bay leaves. This was put in a sous vide bath for 10 to 24 hours, We pulled at approx. 18 hours and shredded. Hard to stop eating as this was done. Silky and moist.. Pat started making the South Carolina BBQ sauce as I browned and crisped the meat up, Served on sweet buns with slaw with side of dill pickle and oven garlic fries. Yummy!
