  1. They don’t work with Elactech baits unless you put a hole in them first. I carry a small drill bit and a lighter so I can melt a hole in them when I want to use a screw lock.
  2. That was a great day. Keep us posted on the chartreuse heads.
  3. I forgot to take the new baits with me. The fish were shallow. I wish I had remembered to take them.
  4. It was too nice to stay inside so my wife and I decided to run down to Cape Fair for a while. The roll over crappie were gone. I only got 1 short in an hour so I pulled up and went up river. I fished while my wife read the news paper. I only threw a green pumpkin Zero on an 1/8 oz head. I boated 9 bass and missed or lost 5. It was a wonderful day to be outdoors in the Ozarks.
  5. As long as you cut off the butt end. An inch off the tip will make significant changes.
  6. Congrats. Good trip.
  7. There is a place called Steak in across the bridge but I don’t know if they do breakfast.
  8. You may want to get something before there. I’m not sure where breakfast is served down there.
  9. I just cleaned some specs. I think I’ll give that a try. Thanks.
  10. No misdirection intended, but since I only found one place and plan to try it again Tuesday I won’t be posting any lat lons.😁
  11. Since I really don’t know how to fish brush piles for crappie I decided to try to find some in other places. I scanned 5 roll off areas above Cape Fair looking from 18 to 30 feet. I only found one that showed any fish and it was only 100 yards long. I fished it 3 times and caught a dozen crappie and a few spots. Only 5 of the crappie would measure and they got a free ride home. One of the throw backs was an Arkansas black nose. Water clarity was good and the temp ranged from 43° to 45°. It was cloudy and cold all day long. When I started out I had a chartreuse stinger on an orange head. They hit it so I didn’t change until I lost it. Then I used a chartreuse swimming minnow on a chartreuse head.
  12. Wrong forum brain fart.
  13. Me either. I sold mine on BBC.
  14. I had an astigmatism and was having to wear corrective lenses. I had cataract surgery in 2011. I bought toric lenses which corrected the astigmatism and saved me many pairs of prescription glasses. I have had soon to be 9 years glasses free saving me over $4000.
  15. Just curious. Did you sell them to someone on this site?
  16. I leave my Costas in the truck. I wear polarized glasses from Walmart in the boat because they have a little bifocal that helps when tying small jigs. They only cost me around $20.
  17. How did your club tournament go. It wasn’t a real nice day up here.
  18. My grandson has signs on the farm that say IF YOU CAN READ THIS THEN YOU ARE IN RANGE. That is probably true as he is zeroed in at 650 yds.
  19. You guys never cease to amaze me with the ideas you come up with. When it gets warmer I may have to pour up a bunch and get some of you to try them out. About the only idea I had was to cut off the tail and see if crappie would bite them.
  20. You are so correct. I got caught up in the moment. Now about that pro staffer position.
  21. I think I remember signs in the past stating that the courtesy docks were for loading and unloading. Have they gone away?
  22. Green pumpkin with black or purple flake?
  23. This is about techniques not colors. We can talk colors if you get on my pro staff.🤣
  24. I hadn’t thought about Arig. I usually use a fluke or swim bait on them.
  25. I have caught bass to 60’ and seen no problem when they have been released. I see a lot of crappie that come from 30+ fow and they seem to have the bends. One thing guys do is fiz them. I have heard pros and cons about that.
