  1. I’ve tried lots of styles, including Dave’s, I like the type with the new weedless Midwest Finesse mold and the Victory hook. They are a lot like the ones that you can get from Jades Jigs.
  2. I didn’t even get the snow blower out. I didn’t put it there and I am not going to get it off. It’s bound to melt sometime.
  3. There are lots of changes that I would like to see implemented. So what can a few old men do about this state wide situation. I’m open for suggestions.
  4. I would have liked to see it wait. We have about 5” and I have an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon this morning.
  5. Good going. I was too much of a sissy to go today.
  6. Zman or Strike King Elaztech worms are all I use any more as they are virtually indestructible.
  7. In that case maybe we can do a day on Stockton if I can get back on them next spring.
  8. Does that book mention Earl Dotson? He was an old river guide who lived down Spring Creek from our farm.
  9. Let me know when and we can split it if you want to.
  10. This has answered my question which was wondering if you did go. You are one tough guy. Yesterday was a stay in the house day for me. Congrats on getting those specs.
  11. It was Arkansas day at Big M. My truck was the only one with MO plates. I don’t know how others did but while we were putting gear away I heard a lot of whining on the other side of the lot. Thanks for the invite even though I got beat like a step child.
  12. If anyone can catch them it’s him. I wish I had his skills then I wouldn’t have to buy cod.
  13. That’s as good as two of us did at Cape. Congrats
  14. My neighbor and I went to Cape this morning. The roads were very wet and nasty. We put the cover on and took off. Cape Fair was calm and cloudy with the fog hanging over the top of the ridges. The farther south we went the cloudier it got. The areas where we caught fish last week were empty. We dummied around for 4 hours and had 6 with 1 keeper. We completely changed our approach and got 12 in the next 2 hours. The fog came down with a mist that required rain gear. That left then it started to rain. At 2:00 I put out the fire and called the dogs. The water was 51°. Do overs I stay home.
  15. Kelly Power has one at Branson West behind his boat dealership (Ulrich Marine). Jerry Snider used to have one in Kimberling City he sold it several years ago. I don’t know if it’s still there.
  16. I second the Fin and Feather. I’ve been buying from John for at least 30 years.
  17. I don’t care one way or the other about mt. lions. What I would like to find is some one who can get rid of some very troublesome beavers that are causing flooding in our bull pen.
  18. Is that the vintage when Irwin Jacobs and Gen Mar owned them and the boats could be ordered without motors or trailers or does it pre date that?
  19. I assume that is a pre Brunswick boat. Does it have a Yamaha motor on it?
  20. I am glad you got out. That’s a pretty fish in the pic.
  21. I think the V would be the best hull for what you have mentioned. Along with the Lund and Lowe you might also consider a G 3. Are you going to get a custom cover?
  22. Have any of you guys been to Ashfall Nebraska? Lots of African species. It’s quite a place.
  23. Jeff and I met at 07:30 this morning. It was very foggy and 32°. We fished close by because of lack of visibility. We picked up a few on Ned. As the fog thinned we moved on down the lake fishing a variety of stuff. We worked our way almost to Thompson Hollow. The fish were scattered with just one here and there. We didn’t measure any but few would have been keepers. We wound up with 16. We threw Ned, shaky, jigs and spinnerbaits. Ned was the most productive. All of the fish were on the main lake. The water was 50-53° and there were floaters large enough to get your attention.
  24. Thanks so much. Merry Christmas to you.
  25. Good trip. Sorry I couldn’t make it.
