  1. Bill I think he is referring to the regular weekly tournament out of Cape Fair. You can check it out on the MO tournaments schedule site. This week is listed 07:00-2:00 with 12 boats.
  2. I catch one occasionally on a Ned but Jeff was bothered by them all day. He actually caught 3 or 4 on a bass jig. Thankfully they didn’t want my shaky worm.
  3. Jeff met me early this morning. It was 42° and foggy. We worked our way down lake as the fog lifted. There are a lot of floaters some are large logs. We fished all the way to Piney. The water was stained and down right muddy in Piney. The fishing was tough.. We wound up with about a dozen and a half. The largemouth were spawned out. Several of the spots haven’t spawned yet. Jigs and Shaky produced most of the fish. The surface temp varied from 63-68°.
  4. Springfield has had 50,000 people without power. Aurora has closed school today. We’ve picked up, cleaned up and had the roof repaired.
  5. Here in Republic we had two different tornado warnings this morning and lost power about 9. It came back on at 6. There are limbs and downed trees all over the place. We lost some shingles on the front of the house but no other damage that I can find. So how did you folks make it today?
  6. I saw that last year. I was told that it is pond weed. It disappears in the summer.
  7. It was my best day on Beaver. I only caught smallmouth today. Jeff had all of the spots and a big old flathead. Our other option was the muddy slop at Cape Fair. Thanks for the guided trip and a memorable day.

  9. It’s yours and you won’t even have tp pay shipping. Just let me know when you want it.
  10. Comes with knife, 2 used batteries, charger and cord, and a 12” blade. The knife is free all you have to do is pay the shipping.

  12. As of 2 pm today 916.64.
  13. I don’t think a regular salesperson would think that way. Irrespective of what Wrench can do, I doubt that Oneshot has those kinds of skills. If he does then Wrench might hire him.
  14. This week’s Stone County Republican news paper has an article about the bridges at Kimberling City and at Shell Knob. They are going to be washed at a nominal cost of $247,219.50. Maybe I need to buy a power washer.
  15. 😆😆😆
  16. That’s easy to solve. A citation and fine would cure that and word would get around.
  17. I was at Cape Fair yesterday. It was chocolate brown.
  18. It shows as of 11:30 am 843.80. I think pool is 838. So I guess about 7’ up.
  19. I haven’t left the property but have heard of all kinds of flooding. Main Street north out of town is closed. We’ve had 5.7” so far here and more to come. Thats more than we have had this year before this.
  20. So far we have had 4.2” and it is still raining.
  21. I’d like to see 3 but no more we have had 3 hundred year floods at the farm in the last few years. One of them took out over a mile of fence along the creek.
  22. Where are you located? I doubt we have had more than half an inch so far.
  23. Most of the bass that I catch on Table Rock are spots. I don’t know if it’s because they have taken over the water or if it’s because the largemouth are reduced due to the overwhelming number of tournaments. I like to catch bigger fish so if that would increase the largemouth then I would be for it. If all it would do is provide more small spots to catch then forget it. They changed the limit on Stockton and I have seen no change. We rarely catch one down there. Does MDC have information on what % of the fishermen keep and eat bass?
  24. Jeff and I met at sun up today. It was cloudy and 41° with no wind. One boat launched ahead of us. We fished down to Cedar Hollow. Before we left the first stop the north wind came up and blew all morning. It wasn’t white capping but close. Several of the places that I wanted to fish were too fish were too windy for bottom contact baits. We used swim baits, jigs, Ned rigs and shaky heads. We wound up with 8-10 bass caught on a variety of places with no apparent pattern. Jeff had a couple of nice keepers on swim baits. It stayed cloudy all day and it was bone chilling cold. We only saw 3 other boats today and they were close to Cape on the way back. The water was 56° most every where we went. Maybe the upcoming rain will turn things around.
  25. Cape Fair 56° today.
