I have a bird that is at my feeders a lot. It is marked on the back like a female gold finch but has a gray belly and is almost twice as large as a gold finch. What can it be?

The Pitzen is similar to the SDJ with the same strength and faster to tie if you let the bait swing making the wraps. I use it on everything except Arigs.

All I can think of is the sensor calibration and or boat off set may need to be redone.

My line was fine when I put it on but it sure didn’t last very long. I have enough for refills and will put it on tomorrow so I can go on Monday. The Yozuri won’t be here for a few more days.

S. Red label is what it is. The 10, 12, & 15 are good for a year or more just not the 6.

Yesterday I had 3 break off that shouldn’t have happened. They were on 2 different setups. Both have 6# line which has worked well for me for several years. I had that line on 5 setups and all of it was bad. It’s only been on them for a couple of months. I need something better. I have been thinking about Yozuri hybrid but none is available locally so I would have to order it. So what is working well and lasts?

So what is your secret? How can I go about catching a top water fish down there. I’ve been fishing it since they closed the dam. Other than buzz baits I can’t remember a top water bass.

I don’t agree with your smallmouth assessment. I am catching more of them than ever before. As for the spot length limit, I don’t think it will make much difference. I am only catching 1 or 2 of them each trip. Now carp is another matter. While I am fishing they swim by my boat all day long in groups as many as 10 only a few feet away. -
They are both good. I have always used keel guard. It is the brand that we carried in the shop when I got my Champion. My current one was put on by Championship Marine. It has been on 6 years. If my memory is correct Hamby uses some type of glue that doubles the installation time.

Do any of you Stockton guys regularly catch bass on top water baits? I used to catch lots of bass on a variety of them when I primarily fished the Rock. At Stockton for me it is a waste of time. Once in a while I will get a few on buzzbaits but Whopper Plopper, spook and frog just don’t produce for me. Any pointers?
