  1. You might give Tom Stadler at Championship Marine a call. They do all kinds of boat work. If he doesn’t do it he probably knows someone who does.
  2. There was hardly any wind at all around Big M.
  3. It was like a spring not winter day. I had a great time. I’ll be in touch as soon as I get a release.
  4. That sounds like a good cold front morning to me. I thought about cranks but after throwing the Arig I was ready for something light and easy.
  5. Good going. We caught some but had to work hard and cover lots of territory.
  6. Wayne and I put in at 08:00 and went up. There were 6 rigs on the lot. We fished from Carrs to School House. We found water temps from 48-51°. It was relatively speaking pretty clear up river but the fishing was very slow. We headed to School House and worked our way up. We wound up with 15 lmb and spots with only a couple of keepers but the others were solid fish. We caught them on Arigs, shaky heads and Neds. Most came on Neds and Mud Bug was the color of the day.
  7. Good for you. I have several of Jades jigs. I really like them.
  8. I’m running Pro Guides. I started using them in 02 because that is all that we carried. I’ve had better success with them than several others.
  9. Jeff met me this morning at 06:30. It was a nippy 29° when we started and 66° when we finished. We were looking for crappie in suspended schools. We looked for an hour and a half and couldn’t find any so since they aren’t tied up I guess they had moved. We decided to give bass a try and Jeff caught a keeper large mouth at the first stop. We fished for about 3 more hours and wound up catching 16 bass 5 of which were keepers. All but one came on the little guy. They were probably 15-25’ deep. The birds showed water temps from 44° to 48°.
  10. I just came in from resupplying my wood on the back porch. 23° temp and a strong nw wind. I’m sure glad I am not in that derby.
  11. I for one haven’t slowed down. Several of the regular posters have left the site for one reason or another.
  12. Temp dropping, wind blowing, raining so I built a fire and am staying in. I am kind of glad my partner for today seems to have the flu and said he couldn’t go. It looks like a quick turnaround though.
  13. As of now we have decided to go to the top of the hill at the farm and see it privately. It won’t be as long but there will be no crowds.
  14. When I lived in the country the deer ate my pears and left the corn alone but the bugs didn’t.
  15. I hope your corn does well. Most of my corn attempts fed June bugs and Japanese beetles better than us.
  16. I’m glad some of you are doing gardens. I used to do a lot and we froze and canned a bunch but it got in the way of fishing so I am down to a row of asparagus and a few tomato plants.
  17. I think they would be hard to keep on the hook unless you had a treble with the spring.
  18. What’s this have to do with rabbits?
  19. Good for you getting out. I would have loved to be on the water yesterday or today but life has gotten in the way.
  20. My daughter bought me every color that BPS carried for my birthday once, 22 colors.
  21. We saw the last one ar St Joe and went on to Omaha.
  22. Canada craw, Drews craw, Alabama craw, have all been good at times.
  23. They look laminated to me. I’ve been trying to duplicate them in a laminated tube but not having success yet.
  24. Sorry I don’t have one or know anyone who does.
  25. Thanks JD. I’ve never been there but it sounded like it might not be heavily used.
