  1. Well the hooks are in at Barlows. I just ordered 400 to get us through the winter. I have also fished it several ways including the swing head which was a disappointment. I’ve tried the shrink tubing keeper but prefer to just tie a bitty piece of floral wire on the hook shank. It’s faster than the tubing for me.

That may be the case but I’m not sure that Tucker Carlson is a medical doctor.

Maybe if you had you wouldn’t be in such bad shape.

You listened to that I’m sure.
  5. I still have working taste buds. There is no way that I can stand to eat that red meat. I even have to trim the dark off salmon. Its just nasty.
  6. I saw that on the news last night.
  7. Navery that is similar to the way I do walleye and large crappie, except I smoke them instead of grilling. We had smoked crappie with corn bread, red beans and baked potatoes for dinner last night.
  8. Thanks for the info. I no longer fish where they live so I won’t be cleaning any. I was just wondering.

Just remember that old Lori Morgan song.
  10. When you guys clean the hybrids, do they have red meat like the whites? I used to fish Truman a lot and caught several but never kept them.

It seems to me that it is not your problem.

    Eggs??

Straw hat that helps explain what I just saw. 6 of the whites that I just cleaned were females with varied egg sacs. They were also from different age groups. Some were just sacs with no size to them. Some were developing with veins showing. One about 15 inches long had egg sacs that were a different color, almost red, with heavy veins. The largest female had egg sacs that weren’t any larger than a pencil and very small veins.
  13. If you do drive, stay north of Hwy 32 and East of 65 so you won’t accidentally kill me.

    Eggs??

I haven’t cleaned today’s whites but last week I kept a walleye for the smoker. She had eggs in her sac. I’ll let you know on the Pom whites sometime tomorrow.
  15. I was given it after I broke three ribs and ruptured a lung. 2 doses were all I could tolerate. It made me feel terrible. The pain was easier to endure.
  16. You will find out one of these cold days if you need it or not.
  17. It depends on where you are and what you want. If you are going to use it for the trolling motor only you should look at the reserve capacity. That is what keeps you on the water. There are a lot of different sizes with 24 being the smallest and lightest weight but it also will have the least rc.
  18. They still were. We could find no fish that weren’t really close to deep water and they were bottom oriented.
  19. Generally speaking COE lakes don’t have private launch ramps.
  20. They are Red Lobster cheesy garlic biscuits.
  21. I’m just curious. I’ve seen a lot of posts about them and repairs on this site over the years. I’m wondering what you guys run and your experience with them. I personally am a Mercury fan. I ran a 225 Optimax for 14 trouble free years. I am now running a 250 Verado that is in its 6th year. All it has had is oil, filter, and fuel changes along with lower unit service and this year spark plugs. I have owned 4 Evinrudes and one Johnson. I blew 3 of the Rudes and the Johnson. My wife had a 150 Yamaha that was trouble free.
  22. Monday we decided to see if there were any spinnerbait, chatterbait, or square bill shallow bass. About 3 hours that had me going nuts. We had some short hits but no fish. We hit several brush piles with jigs and no bites. We switched to shaky and had a few bites with a couple of fish. I decided to go fish the wind so we headed to a windy bluff. It produced 6 of our 8 bass, 4 of them nice keepers, and one dinner guest. It was too choppy for on the water pics. The guest was 22 inches long and just shy of 4#. Zeros in California craw and the Deal were the best producers.
  23. You took the words right out of my mouth.
