Champ188 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Darn fine fish, Jeb. Congrats. Would that be a mid-village lake or west side?
Sore Thumbs Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Awesome fish Jeb! Where exactly did you catch that fish?
jeb Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 So I guess you are now confident in the STX? Yeah, you could say that. It was caught on Lake Windsor. And she's still there to catch, of course. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
RSBreth Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 It was caught on Lake Windsor. And she's still there catch, of course. Great photo and release. That's a great fish anywhere - not just NW Arkansas.
Ham Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 So I'm pretty impressed with the STX at this point, as you can imagine. I'll for sure be buying more of them to go with, and probably eventually replace, all my 110's. Real nice fish. Glad to hear the STX's work well. I look forward to an 8 dollar option that works. I may have bought my last 110, but I'm trying my very best to hang onto the 110's I have. I know a 110 works. I hope a STX works at least almost as well. dwiebenga Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 That is a great fish! What colors did you purchase?
abkeenan Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Awesome fish Jeb! Best fish of the year? Umm my best fish ever is barely half of that! Good to hear that the STX is a good $8 alternative option that works compared to buying the $25 vision 110's. I just got 5 STX from tacklewarehouse last week in the black friday sale. 2 Pro Blue, 2 Stealth Flash and 1 French Pearl. Went to BPS here in STL last week to see if they had any Luck E Strike Warthogs on the shelves yet because they show them available online (sold out immediately) and wanted to buy a few just to check them out as they are only $4. The BPS store didnt have them in yet but had the Clunn STX and they only had 1 Pro Blue left compared to the other colors completely stocked. I guess the Pro Blue is the hot color.
Champ188 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Yeah, you could say that. It was caught on Lake Windsor. And she's still there catch, of course. I had identified Windsor from the background after making the previous post. Again, dang nice one Jeb, and a PRETTY fish. Nicely marked. Thanks for letting her go. BTW, I went ahead and ordered three of the silly things this morning ... one in pro blue, one in midnight blue silver and one in secret night. An 8-pounder in my own backyard is enough to convince me.
edwin Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Great fish...congrats! "Advantages are taken, not handed out"
fishinSWMO Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 That's a nice fish, congrats! Jeremy Dodson
