Drew Peterson Convicted Based On "hearsay" Evidence.

A landmark case, someone convicted of murder based on second hand opinions of non witnesses. Illinois even passed a law to get the case to go to trial. What is happening to the world today?

Yes, it does look suspicious. 4 wives dead or disappeared. But, without actual evidence, allowing someone to testify against you based on their opinion of you is really not Constitutional in my opinion.

The evidence was he hit her and killed her. The wounds on her body could have been caused by a slip in the tub, or they could have been from him whacking her one. Remember, just is just the third wife, they exhumed the body and re evaluated. There is no body on the 4th wife.

Nothing surprises me coming out of that state. If I was on trial, I would want to be judged on real evidence, not "Hearsay". Hearsay can go down so many different roads.

People are convicted of murder all the time on circumstantial evidence and without any physical evidence. However, the hearsay rule they created is a little sketchy. No doubt, it can result in more convictions, but doesn't make it right. But since when has evidence ever really mattered, LOL?

I was very surprised he got convicted of anything. He is most likely involved in harm coming to one or more of his wives, but they had nothing. There will be appeals.

Casey Anthony walked and this guy got convicted. Weird.

Yeah, but Ham,.....Casey Anthony was kinda cute....in a psycho crazy wild chick kinda way. :slow: Drew just came off as arrogant and sleazy.

I'll sure be interesting to see how it plays out. In the meantime, my tummy tells me Drew's in the right place.

Yeah our trail by jury system can make mistakes, OJ comes to mind. But I'm with Ness, 4 dead wives? The guy is a cold blooded pyschopathic killer (so says my gut). But to feel 100% about that, I'd have to have been on the jury.

It's not a good precident....but its kinda hard to care about a man who's had that kind of track record. Hope he has fun in prison.
