Members Andrew Schaefer Posted January 7, 2006 Members Posted January 7, 2006 Nothing too out of the ordinary, black bass and panfish(bream) on lower taneycomo for me, a couple white bass just up from Branson. One day I caught a small largemouth in the side channel across from fall creek, no Idea what he was doing up there, thought maybe he got sucked through tablerock dam. Another time I saw, but failed to catch, a large gar up by the cable while wading, he probably would've run 3 feet or so. he would've been fun on 7x tippet. dpitt 1
MOBass Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Bass in Taney? That can't be. Must have been the Loch Ness moster. Those green fish couldn't live in that cold water. Nothing but trout and carp down there.
Quillback Posted yesterday at 04:20 PM Posted yesterday at 04:20 PM Was doing a little research on bass in Taney and came across this almost 20 year old thread. Might be an interesting option at Taneyfest to fish lower lake for bass and trout with jerkbaits. Hor far is it from Phil's place to the bass waters?
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted yesterday at 05:20 PM Root Admin Posted yesterday at 05:20 PM Blake proved to me this summer that from Roark Creek down there's bass. So 4 miles... nomolites, dpitt and Quillback 3

You proved there is at least one little largemouth hanging out by the White River Fish House the other day too. Quillback and dpitt 2
dpitt Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago In middle of November 2019, up by the cable eddy, bluff blank, caught Whites, Crappie, Kentucky, and Smallmouth on this trip in the same place, spill gates where open, believe they where all coming over the top and hanging around the eddy. All caught stripping a streamer with a fly rod, caught trout too, incredibly fun, never new what you where going to get next. BilletHead 1
