Well guys, had a great day, and a milestone on the White River today. I met up with my good friend Kyle, who has a place in Mt. Home. A couple months ago, we decided to book a trip with David Capps to chase some big Browns, which is something I've been wanting to focus on for a while now. I've started targeting them more on the Little Red River, but haven't fished the White much other than at Calico Rock. We were fishing on the river today near Gastons resort, up and down the river from there. Anyhow, we had a steller day on the River, at one point during the middle of the day, when the generation was just right, there were Browns coming in the boat like we were fishing for Bluegill. Then this big one hit, took a bit to land him to, 29 inches. My buddy Kyle, this was his first ever trout fishing trip, so he's probably ruined after today, he boated several nice ones as well, and like myself was on cloud 9 on the drive home.

Wow!!!! nice Brown trout...... good for you.....you have really put that jet to good use, great job.

Thanks Man, although was fishing with Mr. Capps today, this guy can put you on the big Browns!

Awesome! Jerbait, craw, or sculpin?

Used a combination during the day Gavin, but the big one came on a Shiner. Being my friend kyle was new to this, we did a spin fishing trip. The way the generation is right now, i'd say for the big browns the sculpins and shiner combo is hard to beat. I really wanted to sling some jerkbaits bad, but was hard to mess with a good thing!!

A white river brown, they have a look all their own. Long and lean and every young mans dream. You can pick one out of a crowd. A very nice fish LRF.

Fished with Capps about ten years ago. Good guy and knows what he is doing. Great fish!

Excellent! On a bright day too.
