Guest Brian B. Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 The ObamCare websites were up and running.....Amen! I heard that the golf course he uses was open too, no, no- not kidding. (I was driving, didn't get the name of the course or the specifics, googled it and there does appear to be some folks upset that some of the courses he (they?) play on are open when they shouldn't be...)
Guest Brian B. Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 HaHaHaHa make all the stupid lame assumptions you want about me and my wife Seth.....we both have advanced degrees and she has a doctorate and we paid for them ourselves and have done good for ourselves. The Federal goverment and it's employees are way too massive most people would agree with that. Sorry you can't aspire to be make as much as you can....we have worked our asses off for a long time with no help from anyone and are both self employeed.....working 60 hours a week for a very long time funding both of our companies on our own with help from olde uncle sam. I never said we couldn't make it on our income, I said the tax we would be hit with if we sold our river property would be a crime IMO. We have to work for weeks at a time without pay and don't whine like all of the bitches I have seen on TV recently. I worked three jobs at a time as an insurance agent, a server and as a bouncer.....some 70 hours aweek to pay for my school and what I wanted. There are some lazy butt clowns out there it seems that don't have the drive to go work a job below there self proclaimed level and get the skills required to move up. say what you want about me and my wife Seth but, we work and work a lot for what we have....and have never asked for handouts. How funny and sad, the attacking the successful appears to still be en vogue. Makes you wonder if there was a 99%er shirt being utilized. You think maybe he has at one point defecated on a police car?
exiledguide Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Smalliebigs, you and Brian B need to take some MIdol
Lancer09 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Smalliebigs, you and Brian B need to take some MIdol Mmm, don't know about that. It comes back to the old argument of why should I try to be successful if I'm just going to be penalized harsher for it. I don't work two jobs and take a full graduate course load so that I can someday be taxed higher than someone who did not put in the time and the effort that I have.
Mitch f Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Found it! Good call on the leather coach, dogs can ruin a non leather couch way too quickly...not to mention the hair is so hard to clean up "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
exiledguide Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I just get tired of spineless wimps trying to ruin a great forum
Gavin Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I don't care what your political stripe is...The ACA is here to stay......Would prefer to call it Reidcare...cuz Obama doesn't rate credit for anything but incompetence.
1969Larson Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 For the record, anytime anybody gets laid off, they are essentially, not-essential. It doesn't matter if their employer is a private company or the Federal Government. And anytime anyone gets laid off, it is a slap in the face. Federal workers are not unique in either of those areas. It is not disrespectful to question anyone's career choices. Hard work and dedication are admirable, but it does matter what you are dedicating yourself to and working for. If a small airport in SW Missouri doesn't have much air traffic, doesn't really need a control tower, ends up closing, and an FAA agent gets laid off, am I supposed to feel badly for him or her? Is it disrespectful for me to say they should have seen it coming? I value hard work, but shouldn't a federal employee be thanking ME? I'm the one paying their salary. Our senators work for me. I pay them and I am the boss of them. The firing process needs to be streamlined, but that is the fact. Any furloughed federal employee reading this who is concerned and actively looking for a new employer and is truly facing a tough time financially (this means you have cancelled your smart phone, hundreds of cable channels, and all your flat screen TV's, boat and spare truck are all on Craigslist) contact me and we'll talk about how soon you can start at my company. I'm always looking for people like you. Hard work does pay off. If you don't believe that you should go and try it some time.
fishinwrench Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 When we're done bashing government workers can we start in on insurance professionals? Or we could do marine service/ boating industry first, that's fine.
