Mitch,

I have owned 5 boats since 1998, my opinion is just that, my opinion. These would be my choices in order and we will discuss the next time we are out to lunch.

you will like the first boat http://www.xpressboats.com/view/deep-v#yukon195_anchor....great I like how Express treat you after the purchase.

Second one is great as well http://alumacraft.com/boats/deep-v/sport/trophy-195.php?shopby=1&type=1&layout=1 Alumacraft makes great hulls plain and simple

Third is a very solid boat http://www.princecraft.com/aluminum-boat/products/Fishing-Boats/2013/Platinum-SE-Series.aspx Princecraft is great with customer service

Fourth, well I have just had great success with these guys http://seaarkboats.net/easy-200/ I fished out of a friend of mine who has one and it was very fun

I left Lund off my list because they are too expensive but, the ones I have been in were laid out very nice and dry rides for sure. You aren't going to be able to take out Emma and the girls in a bass boat.....the wind factor is over rated......dry rides and happy women in your life are not......you can fish like a fiend off of anyone of these rigs.

There are a ton of great boats out there......the Express Yukon I was in was really sweet!!!!

Well that's just totally wrong. A Good bass boat will have the best ride on the lake and driving skill will keep you dry. If it's so bad that a 20ft bass boat is rough or wet you shouldn't have your kids out in it. It is the best fishing platform and it can do all of the other things well too. You just have to decide what you want to use it for the most. Get out and test drive some Good quality boats and I think you will be surprised. Get ahold of Babler and have him take you in the Phoenix.

I have been in a Phoenix @ Table rock ironicly and they are nice for the price???? not sure.....I respectfully disagree that a bass boat will out perform a deepV in big water

We don't have big water in Mo, even though Stockton will surprise you. But again if it's that rough out there my kids would not be along.

Gzzzzzzz Mitch your worse than me about boats. Anybody ever threaten to throw you out of the house. My current one will be my last one my last one I am pretty sure if that. If I had to choose right now from these photos. I think iI would go with the Prince Craft. I have seen a few of those around here and they look sturdy. I like the lay out the most. The front casting deck looks a bit larger also.

I do not have a foot control in mine I have a fold up alum handle that I bought from a outfit down south. It makes for much more room and is a easy to operate. I have the only one i have seen on this lake and it would identify me.

Bottom line to me is....who do you want to be happier than you, while your all on the water. Then pick your boat from that list. Any NEW boat can be a good thing!!!

You want the straight scoop from Paul Dallas? Do you? Do you??

Ok, here it is.

I hate bass boats. I hate bass boat occupants. I hate their clubs, their arm patches, their smoked gray windshields. I hate the storage rod holders and their fish finders and the 130 lb thrust trolling motors and vinyl seats and stain resistant carpet. I hate tournaments, weigh-ins, and all manner of boat-ramp comers and goers. And I hate any talk of trailers, or rigs to drag the dam things out of the water with. I hate Table Rock Lake and especially Lake of the Ozarks.

And I especially loathe big-lake marinas, with the $5 bags of ice and assortment of tackle and hoky t-shirts. And Bass Pro Shops, Ranger Boats, Phoenix, Nitro,Skeeter -- I mean really, Skeeter as a name for a boat? "Hey Vern, lets hop in my Skeeter and go drop-shot for some Kentucky's that I seen on my sonar in 68 feet of water on that one pea-gravel point by the bridge".

The whole scene makes me want to throw up its so depressing.

Don't do it Mitch. Don't become one of them.

LOL. Dallas tells it like it is!

Mitch you need a ski boat with a pedestal seat and a TM in the front, but it AIN"T gonna be a bass boat!

Also given the fact you won't use it as much as you think, look at aluminum Lowe, Tracker, etc.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

You're so right CWF, those bass boat guys have cornered the market on being pretentious. Cold water fly fishing is the last PURE fishing left.
