I do not know if i should call it goals.

I do like to catch large catfish on spoons and light bait casting tackle with 10 lb test line I only boated one about 15 lbs this year doing this. I have caught then to 48. I would like to get more this year.

I would like to catch more bass over 5lbs (21) inches. I usually can muster between 8-10. This past year I only got 6.

In the dog days I like to catch Gar.on hot evenings. I catch a lot if them 4 ft and longer. I have seen a few were a lot lot bigger. I would bet there is a state record here. I would like to catch it.

And last but by no means least I have a real goal to remember to carry my IPad with me when I go out. I went out last year and had one of my best outing of the year catching two bass measuring right at 22 inches in about 1/2 hour and Had nothing to photograph them with.

My goal is to get out as often as I can and still maintain domestic tranquility at home.

Stressful isn't it . My wife does not fish, does not eat fish and cant stand the smell of them.

I picked 52 because that would be one species for each week of the year. Kinda random and likely to hang me. I think I could get to 40 species without too much trouble. Beyond 40 is going to be rough.

There will be a lot of fish on that list that more folks would consider trash than treasure, but I like em all. Smallmouth bass are my favorite fish, but I love catching other fish too.

Please understand all the begging for help will be for information or trips to the Bella Viata Lakes (hint) or Elk River (hint, hint). I have some standing offers that I'll try real hard to employ.

One thing for sure, I will not be able to catch 52 species unless I burn some gasoline rolling down the Highway.

That's pretty cool Old Plug. Big Cats on light line. And you're whipping my butt with bigger bass for sure. I've tangled with some BIG long nose gar on Bull Shoals, but usually they are targets of oppurtuntity not the reason for the trip.

Ham, come on over any time, be glad to host you on the BV lakes, or Beaver, or the White river arm of TR.

Do you have yellow perch on your list? I'm curious how they are doing in Bull, haven't heard much about them the last few years after hearing they had shown up in Bull.

The only odd species you'll encounter in Bella Vista is yankeemuvsoufus crankyopterus... :-)

I know some creek bait holes that can hold 10-12 different species, but catching them your way could be tough.

You could pick up sauger on the Arkansas River next month (maybe next week with this cold spell). There's always a chance of catching bonus species there; eel, yellow bass, drum, etc.

I can't dance like I used to.

I've caught a couple of Yellow Perch Walleye fishing upper Bull - probably the best bet for that.

I think my best for numbers of different fish was one day on the Finley I caught all of the most common sunfish species - all three Black Bass (although a Spot above the mill dam in the park at Ozark is rare) Crappie, Rock Bass, Bluegill, Green Sunfish, and Long-ear Sunfish. Kind of like getting Brown, Rainbow, Brook and Cutthroat on the White, I guess.

My goal is a double digit Walleye, and just more time on the water in the big boat, and more wade fishing with my son in summer - just a couple of spinning rods and a few snacks in the vest - all the time in the world and no big deal if you catch the big ones or not.

According to a guy that dives, he's seen large groups of yellow perch roaming the Sister Breek area of BSL. I've read reports here of yellow perch in the Shoal Creek area. I've caught yellow perch in West Sugar Loaf and Big Creek and Theodosia area AND the White River itself below BSL.

I am thinking hard about the Arkansas River and the Mississippi River for sauger.

A few trips down south for yellow bass, Spotted Sunfish, Bowfin, Spotted Gar, Short nose gar, Warmouth, a better shot at Pumpkinseeds and Redear Sunfish.
