Yup one good thing about the big chill.

Back when i was in the landscape businnes whenever the grubs and bugs would be real bad we would always say it didn't get cold enough last winter. So you would think the next couple nights will be cold enough to kill plenty of the pests that survive the warmer winters.

Got 6 inches here in Stockton with 2 foot drifts.Was supposed to only get 1 1/2in.Cant wait to see how this hard freeze and the spring rains will affect the mushrooms.My spots havent produced much the last 3 years.

wind is blowing 20mph and temp is dropping by the hour. glad to be inside and really glad my wood is piled in the basement

Just saw an eagle fly by outside. There's a few that hang around the local lakes, but it's unusual to see one fly by the house.

Headed to Baltimore Md. This morning with a load of air conditioners( kinda ironic I think) going across I-40 then up I-81 ran out of snow at Rudy ar. But pretty sure I'll catch it again somewhere. Really wanted to fish this weekend but there will be others I hope... y'all be safe in this mess and stay warm

Here in the southern suburbs of St. Louis we ended up with 9-9.5" of really light fluffy snow. Great snow for my single stage gas snow blower. Took care of my 4 car drive way in about 15 minutes today.

We had a great float today, but it took me 5 hours to drive back to St. Louis from the Current. Lots of little cars and tractor trailers in the ditch today.
