I'm not sure how long they will hold water at Norfork but I would be on that right now. 

Because when they start running it will be a while before its off again.

I know Boss. It was a golden opportunity that I can't take advantage of. 

My Dad is in town. He can not tolerate the cold anymore and I didn't dare take a chance getting him sick by dragging him out on the river. I also didn't want to leave him at the house while I went fishing. So just visiting, No Fishing.

Ham, if you're just dying for a different way to catch them in the nofork, try Czech nymphing. Just don't tell anyone else. 

 

Come to think of it, a tenkara rod might be perfect for Czech nymphing.

Some of the rods are. The one I have is definitely too light for that. We'll see how I like it. I expect there to be future rod purchases.

I just looked and that roughly 4K CFS they are running on the white looks good too.

I walk out of the barber shop this morning, there's a big extended cab Dodge truck in the parking lot.  Has a camper shell with boat racks on top.  Look at the side of the camper shell and it has a small Tenkara sticker on the side.  As I walk past the rear of the truck, I look at it to see what other stickers might be on it, no stickers but the personalized license plate reads: TENKARA.

So if any of you Arkansas folks had thought of getting a personalized plate with TENKARA on it, you're too late, it'll have to be TENKARA1 or something similar.

If I had seen that plate 3 months earlier than this, I would have had no idea what TENKARA meant.

Busted out the Tenkara for the first time today. I caught a handful of tiny guys from the skinniest water imaginable. Not great water, but nice enough for me to add Dusty Striped Shiner to my life list. 

My boy went with me and used UL spinning. He got a chub and LE sunfish.
