History typically never repeats itself, thus the olld saying "fish conditions not history".

That being said, very specific tournament winning patterns rarely repeating themselves year after year. Its to difficult to find something different that nobody else is doing. We all know that.

however, I think the square bill by a river on on select spot that nobody else has found of that 2-3 day stretch will be strong factor. Thus Palanuik. He's proven several wins on that type of pattern.

I agree, Edwin is on a mission this year. He has a good shot as well. Definately Christie as well.

They all need to be glad Robbie Dodson isn't qualified for the Elite Series. That boy is some kind of tough on Table Rock this time of year. He's big friends with Christie (they used to room together on FLW) so JC may get some good help from him.

Far as Palaniuk goes, hope he misses the cut. Really tired of him being on every other page of Bassmaster and BASS Times just because he's the fair-haired pretty boy and the apple of McKinnis' eye. Just my own opinion.

Haters gonna hate. Palaniuk has held his own in the Elites. He has two, should be three, wins and a second and fourth in the classics in his first four years. Not bad for a young gun. You can't deny that he ain't earned his spot up there with the pro's. I hope he takes home the W. I'm sure Snowden and Clunn will be in the top 20, but not win. The hometown guys rarely seem to win.

there is a reason that locals can't jackpot. How would any of the locals at any of the Ozarks lakes do over an Elite season? Nothing against locals at all, more power to them.

They couldn't pick a better week to be at the Rock, it should be on big time. I'll guess 76-8 takes it for 4 days with a crankbait the main deal. Unless they are bed fishing like they are at St. Johns these guys don't slow down to much anymore. If the fish will bite a crank that's what these guys will throw. I heard VanDam likes to throw one. The local economy should get a good boost which is what really matters. Just get them back in the lake alive.

Yep if it's a crank fest you can't count out KVD. I'm with J-Doc on Palaniuk having a shot also. Randy Howell is someone to watch, Tak Omori, Edwin Evers, Can't rule out Aaron Martens either. Should be a good one!
