I just grew up with them being "trash fish" and I can't seem to get over it.

Kinda like all the other bullshit lies we were taught. If it is pounded into a persons head from a young age then they just grow up accepting it as a fact.

Of course it doesn't help that they are so ugly and plain looking.

Same deal with Gar.

shoot that's what the teenage years are for, rejecting the bs pounded in our heads as kids

what a long strange trip it's been , put a dip in your hip, a glide in your stride and come on to the mother ship , the learning never ends

Like oneshot I too went fishing with Grandpa at the pay lakes for carp in the 1960's. It was a blast and we usually caught fish. They are hard fighters and fun to catch.

I have had more fun catching carp in the creeks and wet areas along the MO river than I have had while catching Redfish in Florida. I enjoy it.

I did have a conversation with a Park Ranger north of Weston, Missouri last weekend (after he checked my license) and we started talking about bowfishing. He said most guys just leave them on the bank, which isn't a problem in the Bean Lake and Lewis and Clark lake areas. I was surprised to hear this.

He was referring to Asian carp, common carp, and gar. (fyi, I don't necessarily agree with this)

What? Carp and gar arent beautiful? That sounds like some of those bs lies you were talking about, here's something to help you get that out of your head.

Let the summer of Carp, begin.

Why would you leave them on the bank... I would think you would gut the swim bladder and put them back into the water. Let them breakdown there.

Good vids BBT, I did not see your "suggestion" until after I watched the video. The end quote was just as memorable. LMBO

Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me)

I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
